THEIR STORY: When Elizabeth first comes into town, she is a bit of a rebel, and Lucky is in love with her sister Sarah. But over time, their banter leads to a friendship that prompts Elizabeth to ask Lucky to the Valentine's Day Dance. It was on that day Elizabeth and Lucky would be bound forever. Lucky agrees to go to the dance with Elizabeth, but backs out at the last minute. In order to keep face to her grandmother, Elizabeth pretends like she is going to the dance with Lucky but goes to watch a movie instead. On her way home, walking through the park, a man grabs her from behind and rapes her. Lucky notices she is missing and finds her in the park, trembling in the snow after the rape. From then on, Lucky never left Elizabeth's side, sharing in her pain, her anger, and her need for vengeance. They build a deep bond and friendship which eventually turns to love.

A year after the rape, Lucky takes Elizabeth to a church and they pledge tehsemvels to each other as teenagers. The famous speech Lucky gives says, "You’ve got my heart, that’s a permanent lock. Everything I am is in love with you. My soul, my mind, my body, my spirit. That will n e v e r change.” And through years of pain, turmoil, and betrayal, that fact has never changed. These two have a bond that can never be broken, and a love that is a permanent lock.

Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Junior better known as Lucky, is the firstborn son of soaps’ most famed supercouple Luke and Laura. He came to Port Charles in 1993, a boy who grew up on the run from the mob and was always looking for stability and something to call home. Known for inheriting his father’s charm and his mother’s heart, his life continued to be in flux and he continued to struggle with the notion of “home”- until Elizabeth came to town. She gave him her love, and she became his home. Now, he works for the PCPD, raising three children with Elizabeth, and finally having a family to call his home. The role has been played by Jonathan Jackson, Jacob Young, and Greg Vaughn. Jackson reprised the role again in 2009.


Elizabeth Imogene Webber is the granddaughter of General Hospital’s first supercouple, Steve and Audrey Hardy. She is the daughter of Andrea and Jeff Webber, sent to live with her grandmother Audrey in Port Charles when she was a “wild child” teen. She had constantly felt like she did not measure up to anyone’s standards, and it is not until she meets Lucky that she feels she is valued to another person. Elizabeth is now a nurse, raising her three children with Lucky as their father figure.

Jonathan Jackson is the five-time Emmy winner who originated the role of Lucky Spencer, iconic first-born son of Luke and Laura. He started in 1993 and played him until 1999, then returned in 2009 after ten years. Jonathan is a very talented actor and musician, part of his band Enation. He currently stars in ABCs primetime show Nashville. He is happily married to former General Hospital co-star Lisa Vultaggio and they have three children together.


Rebecca "Becky" Herbst originated the role of Elizabeth Webber on General Hospital in August 1997. She has appeared on the show consistently ever since. She is happily married to former General Hospital co-star Michael Saucedo and they have three children together.
