Okay about Aug 4 spoilers:

Spoiler:

Not as bad as we thought. Melanie just lets Nathan know she can't go to dinner because once again cruel fate is against them and the hospital has scheduled her for duty that night!

But the scene is so sweet it almost makes up for it!

I swear the scenes with Steph/Nathan made me on edge. After finding out Melanie couldn't go to the concert he had tickets to, Steph is in scenes with Nathan. He was trying to get out of the hospital, but he had piles of files that he needed to do. He freaked out because there was some tallying of stuff he would have had to do....IF Stephanie hadn't SO KIND to do it for him. And so all he needed to do was initial them.

He gushed about how he could kiss her but he wouldn't...yada yada

Right then and there I thought he was going to ask her to go to that concert with the extra ticket he had ....but he didn't.

Then there was some random moment where he forgot to sign out and they went on about how admin was such a stickler for it. How he would get in trouble so Steph was freaking out. Melanie is there and says why doesn't she just sign out for him? She says she couldn't...and plus she could never forge his signature. Melanie kindly uses her 'gift' to help Nathan out.

Nathan is back remembering he didn't sign out. Lexie is there lecturing about keeping up with paper work and it's in the 'details'. Nathan was like who did it? Because he didn't. Steph said that 'let's just say you have some friends' something like that...

UUUUUUh, totally could be misconstrued right THERE that 'she' herself did it, instead of Melanie! Grrrr. She better not take that credit. But I don't think they go out later because next thing you see is Steph walking out in the park or somewhere and runs into Philip!

I don't get why we don't get MORE Melanie/Nathan scenes. And WHY they keep stalling these two. I swear I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO over this stupid Daniel/Chloe thing. It was lame to begin with. And is getting worse by the day

Steph is with Phillip and then Nathan comes to pick her up and Phillip says "Have fun on your date" IT IS NOT A DATE!!!! Aparently there is wine toasting and 'smiles' but then the next day Mel asks Nathan for another chance so that should be better

I KNOW! The Danloe stuff is getting so boring. How freakin long are they gonna have Chloe just laying there.

Okay, so about yesterday's 'canuck' episode, yes I did see what you described in the spoilers, but it made me sick to my stomach. I mean, that's why I wanted to gouge my eyes out. Even smiles between S&N was too much! It is so wrong. It was like he was flirting with her and I was like 'WHAAAAAAAAAT?'

ANYWAY...

On to better things for Aug 5th 'canuck' version: So we get today's scenes with Nathan and Mel. First of

Anyways, he playfully suggests she give Mr. Murray different reading material than Maxim. For medical reasons.

Blandly Mel suggests a fishing magazine and then keeps pushing her cart. Nathan asks offhandedly whether she wanted to have coffee break together. She turns her head and says she's too busy for a break.

Then pans to Nathan looking confused and shot to Maggie looking confused also.

Maggie & Nathan talk. Maggie wonders what he did to her...possibly during their 'date' to the concert. He corrects her saying he didn't go with Mel She apologizes and says that a friend mentioned him being on a date and she assumed it was Melanie. And then kind of looks at him like, who?

He says Stephanie was with him. Wide shot of Mel in the forefront and her eyes widening llike she heard him admit it and then he was like, 'No we were just hanging out as friends'. Then he goes on saying he doesn't need the distraction of having a girl and that he wants to be single for now because of his hectic schedule and stuff.

Maggie (gotta love her astuteness) asks Nathan why then, does he keep looking over at Maggie who is over by the coffee counter. He fumbles saying that he was just curious why Mel was suddenly mad at him. Then he shrugs it off and says he guesses it really doesn't matter and then leaves. Melanie's head kind of trails after him, though not looking at him.

Maggie and Melanie talk. I think I missed one of the scenes, cause it cuts to Melanie telling Maggie how she thought she would be thrilled if she didn't go after Nathan who could have whoever he wanted. Maggie says she thinks the world of her. Later on Maggie talks about Melanie and how she thinks the girl thinks her life is boring without bad boys. She thinks that Melanie keeps on looking out for bad boys because they are exciting and unattainable. Then goes on to say Melanie got so used to being treated so badly she started to think that was what she deserved. Melanie agrees. She tells Melanie to break the cycle, to stop looking for a guy who is going to hurt her but one who is going to love her the way she deserves.

Melanie finds Nathan on coffee break. She makes a joke about flyfishing. She then says she could sit and keep him company. He says he thought she was 'too busy'. She says it's a woman's perogative to change her mind'. Starts telling a 'story' about a 'girl' she knows (obviously their story) who knows a guy who is smart and respected and loved by everyone on staff other than the Maxim patient - which gets a small smile from him- and talks about why she turned him down the other night. Not because she didn't like him but because he might not like her if he knew her.

Melanie says she thought about it and thinks she might want to go out with this 'guy' she has been talking about. She puts the idea out there - asking what he would think about her asking him out?

Nathan says he has no time to play games. She says that's fair. She says she knows what people say about her. She knows she has a reputation. But that it is different with him. She finds herself liking who she is when she's around him. She realizes she' freaking him out. Then she's freaked out because he's not saying anything. She asks him to say something.

He says his focus is his career. Melanie calls him on the bad non sequitar. He says that she doesn't understand that he doesn't have time for distractions. She repeats and says, 'Is that what you think I am, a distraction?'

She goes on to awkwardly smile and ask, that if he thinks she's a distraction that does that mean he thinks about her sometimes. He smiles and gets kind of stuck for an answer and then she interrupts him. She apologizes for asking. Then she rambles that they're clear that they are playing no games. She then goes on to say that the reason she turned him down was because she thought he liked her more than she deserved. Not because she wasn't interested. Apologizes they couldn't go to dinner. It might have been fun. She then tells him that she'll see him back at the hospital. He is left looking at a loss.

He calls her out. He talks about how med school teaches that he can't jump to conclusions. He has to look at all options (something to that effect). Melanie jokingly asks whether she's going to live or die of humiliation. He says he hasn't confirmed the diagnosis yet. He then says maybe after they've had dinner he will know. She says, 'like a date?'. He says 'No, like work' and then makes a face. She smiles and says she doesn't know. She will have to check her schedule. He says 'Of course'. Then she says she can probably work something out!

WASN'T THAT FABULOUS! I WAS SQUEALING ALL MORNING UNTIL I GOT ON HERE TO TELL YOU!!!

The only BAD

thing was scenes with Steph and Roman. She was going on about is there a way for her to will herself to stop loving someone. Now the bad thing is they got into this talk about how even though 'Philip was a jerk' that it doesn't mean there aren't other guys who will treat her right. Then Steph was saying that she did just 'meet someone recently'. They went to a concert. He asks if she had a good time. She says yes. She just hopes he did. He makes som gross nepotistic remark that OF COURSE he had a good time. How could he not? That he would have to be crazy not too!

She thanks him for the convo and leaves. She dials his number and leaves a voicemail saying she had a good time and that she was thinking that maybe they could do it again sometime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear the entire time she was talking about Nathan I was calling her a biatch!!!!!!! She KNOWS Melanie likes him! And she has the NERVE to go after him??????????

I don't swear. Never do it. But dang it if Stephanie doesn't bring out the worst in me.

Ugh, Steph just wants to hurt Mel by going after Nathan when clearly he likes Mel more. Thanks for posting that full recap.

I don't know why Stephanie can't get her OWN freakin' man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She came on the show and stole Max away from Chelsea (not that she didn't aid in the whole thing) and then she rebounded to Philip which technically I think Melanie kind of had her eye on him before.

I saw the episode and it made me want to punch STEPH. OMG she needs to back away and just stay the hell away from Mel and Nathan. Melanie and Nathan deserve to be together without her bugging in the way. OMG and tell Nathan says the next date there has to be no interuptions and then
