I am definitely not a Jason/Elizabeth fan but she did WANT Jason. Granted, it doesn't hold a candle to what she wants or feels for Lucky (never can), the same as the BS with Nikolas now, but she loved Jason and wanted to be with him in the past. She doesn't want him NOW and realizes that she cannot be with him but I watched all that Jason/Elizabeth stuff. I didn't like it but I accepted what her feelings was for him at that time and they were real. And, all of that actually made more sense (even though I hated it with every fiber of my being) than the stuff we are seeing with her and Elizabeth now.

There are definitely other women for Nikolas. Hell, he can leave town too, for all I care. But Elizabeth is NOT his.

I found a banner to go with the title of this thread along w/ a new one that has JJ and Becky in it so I added it to the opening post.

Luke & his children may be in for the biggest fight of their lives with the threat of the Cassidines looming!

Things get a little awkward for the Spencers. This week Luke finds out his whore of an ex-BIL and step son are involved. Combined with the knowledge that Ethan & Lucky have not bonded, Luke is beginning to realize there might be big problems ahead.

"The relationship between Lucky & Ethan is a very rich one" Says TG.

"The good brother & the bad brother. Who is good & who is bad? Which will destroy the other? There's richness in that"

"Lucky carries Lukes rage & his sense of justice" Theorizes Geary "It's not the same sense of justic, because they come from 2 different worlds. They both have an inability to get on with things when they face some unjust."

"I believe Lulu has her fathers courage. She has the part of Luke that would jump off a bridge. She has his reckless optimism"

"I believe Ethan carries Luke's treachery"

But will Lukes wildly different children be able to work together?

"Our Lucky Day!"

It was the last thing many thought would happen, but fans were happy to hear that JJ is back as Lucky Spencer. Will the audience step back in time as well?

"The connection people had with the character & storylines really did floor me" says JJ "It's a tricky thing with daytime. There were two other actors playing the roll, and they did a fantastic job. But coming back into it is sorta like re-establishing the original essense."

Growing Pains.

When JJ last had the roll Lucky was a teenager in love with Liz. Fastforward 10 years & the character has taken a turn towards the darker side.

Thanks to an affair with Maxie & a drug addiction & the arrival of Ethan. Is JJ nervous about incorporating this all into his version of Lucky?

"It comes down to the way the character is written" says JJ "You can't really act history. YOu have to approach it on an emotional level. but there is no way to act the history of committing adultery, unless there is guilt there"

"There is a lot of history between LL2. The overriding sense of newness & sense of starting over, yet continuing from exactly where we were". In other words every thing old is new again...but with a bit of a twist.

Ch-Ch-Changes

Like his onscreen alter-ego JJ has gone through many changes. He's married & has 2 kids. "It's a paradox because I feel like exactly the same person, yet alot has happened. Getting married & having kids is huge. It's an amazing blessing"

"As an actor all my acting experience -working with so many people in films - is amazing. But on GH there is a sort of freedom to really inhabit the character with your own SOUL. For me I am focused on the essense of Lucky. In that regard I completely connected to where I left off. The heart and essense of Lucky is exactly the same."

Part 4...

Coming Home.

"I do feel like I've come back as an adult & relating to, say, Luke there is a different dynamic."

"There is a SOUL connection there with Tony that is very strong, and yet there is a newness to it. If I had stayed I don't think we would have been able to experience the differences as much as it would have been gradual. so now we get the benefit of really feeling the difference."

"It's really been seemless, which is shocking to me. I thought it would be more jarring, a little bit trying to feel the flow. BUt it wasn't. The writers helped the transition and have been open to my heart and perspective coming into it"

Next issue: Is Rebecca a better match for Nik or Ethan.

That last bit of news makes me gag, but I won't speak further as this is not the spoiler thread.

I have to wonder if some of Elizabeth's issues have anything to do with her father. I'd love to see Jeff Webber return so we could touch on her parental drama.

BTW, JJ mentioned in an interview that he would be taking a brief break to get his family settled. So that's why he won't factor too much for a brief time.

Lucky and Liz did great scenes today with Lucky trying to make her forgive herself for what she has done in the past. I am like, "You have no idea..." *sigh* Poor Lucky but yeah, he thought it was all about her past lies that made her scared, oh no, that wasn't the part of it, it's more of present actually.

^OH YES!!!!!!!!! That's the point! I am like, "Liz, stop doing this to yourself and take him back!"

You know when Liz said, "I don't even know myself.." kinda gives away that maybe, just maybe she doesn't know about herself? Like sneaking around with Nik, etc. I would think she's confused herself.

Okay,

I have watched yesterday's episode and today's and the lines that he was gives almost feels like a hidden meaning to me and I am wondering if Im the only one who notices it.

Yesterday's Episode:

Liz tells Lucky that she doesn't know who she is anymore and Lucky responds that he doesn't know who he is either. I found meaning in that because Jonathan has been gone for 10 years so in a way he doesn't know who he is anymore. Its going to take time for him to get comfortable with this version of Lucky.

Today's Episode:

When Lucky was giving Liz the speech about what is perfection was to him he said to her that there is alot of history that is complicated and messy that they have to go through in order for them to be together.

I found that significant because they really to have to go through the mess that the writers gave Jacob and Greg. They have to go through everything that the other actors left behind to get back to the true essense of this wonderful couple.

Am I reading to much into it? Maybe there is no meaning behind the lines but I just thought it was interesting how things have been worded like there is hidden meanings behind everything that is being said.

That's to imply Guza had the intelligence to think that out.

But it's interesting subtext to stew on regardless of whether it was planned or not. But I want to make clear that I don't hold Greg or Jacob responsible in anyway (well .. ok maybe Jacob [Hey not everyone is cutout for playing anything. I'm sure he tried his best though.]). If Guza did actually try to infuse this logic, than he sucks ass even more than I ever imagined.

I haven't watched today yet, but the lines scream epic. I can only imagine the bigger whole Elizabeth will dig for herself now having heard Lucky say that. And this I'll actually understand. For once some justifiable context to her future behaviors.

Elizabeth better wake up.The way Lucky believes in her is amazing.I loved his speech today.Did it remind anyone else ALOT of something Lucky would've said to Liz after the rape way back when?

I hate that Liz is part of Niz but the only thing I like about it (I hate to even use the word like with Niz) is that it reveals an interesting part of her character that has not been explored...her self destructive tendency...keeping herself from achieving the happiness/family she really wants.

I would like to think that's what Niz is about...and not that Liz has ANY real feelings for Nikolas.

Guh. I have not felt this much for LL2 and even Lucky for over 10 years. JJ has turned it all around for me in less than two days. That makes me very biased, but I do not care in the slightest. Elizabeth needs to open her freaking eyes like right now. She isn't being fair to Lucky at all and if I were him I'd be really pissed that she keeps singing his praises just because she feels guilty. She should feel guilty, but that's just the wrong way to make up for it. I hope Lucky walks away from her when he finds out about Niz, because she needs to know what it feels like to actually lose Lucky. She has taken him for granted for too many years because she KNOWS the kind of man he is and that he will always be on her side. That's why I want him to turn his back on her. As for Nikolas... how dare he talk to Lucky the way he did today. I mean seriously man. You are screwing your brothers fiancee and you have the balls to ask him if he thinks there's something she isn't telling him? Ugh.

Yeah, I'd like to believe this too. I just wish they'd be more pronounced in conveying that angle, because when Elizabeth hugged Nikolas on the docs I felt as those I was being told this was some tortured story of love never being able to be realized, and as though they couldn't stand the hours apart from each other to the point where they had to run into each other's arms at the mere sight of each other. I'm not even sure if Guza knows deep down what angle he is trying to play. Frankly I think he's trying them all seeing which sticks to the wall.
