Interestingly though more than once Becky seemed clearly detached in her performance in the beginning and at the haunted star (why did they even go there?).

But I will give her and the character one thing, when she said once again that she couldn't take hold of what's right in front of her and best for her and the boys, she made it more believable than ever before. I started to grasp that this was about her personal self-destruction, not some epic story of ill-fated lovers. But then after she runs out in her mix of tears and confusion she runs into Nikolas on the docks, fitting comfortable in his arms and they kiss. These constant mix signals make me want to tare my hair out. The one angle they could use to redeem Elizabeth is the angle they keep moving away from. I just don't understand it.

I was curious what you meant by detached?

Guys, omg, lol, on the abc board, you know how there is a discussion section for the show, someone posted a thread entitled

Rebecca leaving GH.

My internet is deciding to go slow tonight so it took at least one minute to get onto the page and then I realized that it was Rebecca the character as in the Natalie the actress who is leaving.

My heart sunk into my stomach when I read the title. I was like WHAT! They bring back JJ and Becky is now leaving the show. That scared the crap out of me! But I was wrong, thank god, now I can breathe again,

EDIT: Wait, now that I think about it, does this mean since Natalie is leaving the show does that mean they are clearing a path from Liz and Nicholas. Okay, happy that Becky is staying, not so sure about Natalie leaving.

Well, maybe it was my perception, but in some of the earlier scenes she seemed detached from Jonathan, like she almost wasn't giving her best in those moments. I don't know if it was some displaced emotions of no longer working with Greg or just finding her way again in the dynamic with Jonathan. Either way I felt like he was pulling most of the weight in those scenes. But she still rocked it out in the later scenes and even at times earlier on. I could sense the magic at hand, but I wasn't sure if she fully wanted to embrace it.

THAT is what worries me.

When I first read it, I was like OOOHHH NOOOO! Please no!

I was worried about that part because that would mean Nik is single again, completely. So gah, I hope he won't go for it but I ain't holding my breath for it.

Eh, there are plenty of women for Nikolas. I think Rebecca just wasn't working out regardless, and for some reason they didn't want to make her Emily.

See, I feel the opposite. If you just see that little bit where she opens the door, tell me that is a woman who isn't happy as can be that she's looking at her fiance. She's flirtatious, she's charmed by his little Lucky joke, she's almost giddy nervous the way she was when she was 16 around him.

Well maybe insincere may be a more apropos word to describe her in those moments. But I hear what you are saying, I felt the magic, it just still seemed off to me, with her being the culprit.

How amazing was it to see RH and JJ back together again?

I want Niz out in the open because I hate Elizabeth being guilty.I think it's awesome that RH/JJ still had magic,even as RH had to play it as Elizabeth being uncomfortable.

I'm just waiting for the day when we see Elizabeth chasing after Lucky...when that day comes,I will enjoy it oh so much.

We just got Lucky/our couple back! Why take him off the air so quickly?

Niz is vile. But I WAS encouraged that Nikolas appears to be third on the totem pole of character POVs in this triangle, with- dare I say it- LUCKY being top tier today, and also that it actually WAS a triangle. That Elizabeth expressed love and desire for a life with Lucky and seemed truly sickened with herself for the black hole she's gotten herself into.

Yeah...Niz is just silly.But if I had to give it ANY logic (not that the writers are thinking of this),I would say it's less about Nikolas and more about Liz's tendency to self destruct when she has or is about to get the happy ending she wants.

I was glad they gave Liz the dialogue today of her talking about how she doesn't deserve Lucky and she's scared of getting what she wants.

Honestly,I don't think it has anything to do with Nikolas.Maybe subconsciously,she just looked for the person who would drive what she wants (Lucky) away from her the most...if that makes sense

She has begun to pathologically want what she can't have. She didn't ACTUALLY want Jason, or she'd be with him. It's the thrill of the illicit, the thrill of the secret. And unfortunately, Lucky has let her see him as the safe choice, because he wants her so badly. I think she's high past due for a little taste of how vicious Lucky can be when he feels betrayed. Like, when he played Rise to taunt Luke.
