And what the hell, lol. Go ahead and add me to the list.

Here's the thing- Elizabeth sucks right now. No use in any L&L2 fan denying it. She's going to make Lucky fans want to pull their hair out and ask the soap gods WHY does he want her?

But...

He DOES. He loves this woman all the way down to the bone. It isn't going to change. He loves her like he loves Luke, so he isn't going to be able to stop loving her anymore than he stopped loving Luke when he found out about the rape. He'll be furious, he'll be crushed and feel unloved and unworthy, it may well make him vicious in his lashing out. But he's still going to love her.

Now, that was some GOOOOOOD Lucky/Elizabeth stuff right there. Even all of the scenes leading up to the wedding, the wedding night ( ::fans self:: ), the train wreck stuff when Lucky was hurt....

Ahhhh.

There is one scene during the train wreck where Elizabeth is literally clawing, digging, just frantically searching for Lucky, and was DEVASTATED to finally find him with no pulse, and then couldn't lift the beam off of him because it was too heavy.

Becky was phenomenal in those scenes.

That is the Elizabeth that I want to see on my screen. The one that loves Lucky THAT MUCH.

I know she's in there, even if I have to beat it out of her myself.

Yeah, I know! I have to do it soon since I kept putting it off or are just lazy to find ones on yt.

So I will have to watch it but I know I would be too sad because I would have to remind myself that Greg is no longer on GH anymore. But I will have to put up a brave face to watch all of their old times together.

Yes, I hope Elizabeth will fight as heck to get him back, all of it. Begging, groveling, everything, you name it. Gah.

I don't think there's any way that JJ is going to give up L&L2, and not just because he originated the love story, but because he believes so strongly in them as a couple. He thinks that they're as epic as we think they are as old school fans. JJ is still exclaiming how much he loves them. I don't believe for a second that he'll let them be destroyed, and I don't believe that Guza won't want to honor JJ's wishes considering how hard he's fought to even get JJ to agree to a return. I believe that it will be terrible, ugly, hellish, and sleazy for awhile but then I believe once the dust settles that they'll go back to L&L2. JJ keeps talking about L&L2 getting back to earlier elements and creating new ones, and I think after seeing that clip that Becky and JJ are entirely on the same page about keeping that history and chemistry going through this s/l.

ETA:
I also don't necessarily buy that "first love" promo was just a throwaway line to announce JJ's return. They want us to immediately associate JJ's Lucky with being Elizabeth's first love, and who she once pledged herself to. There were other parts to the Permanent Lock vows that they didn't need to actually steal that particular scene. I think it was all orchestrated for effect to lure in old fans, and to whet their taste buds for what's in store for L&L2 in the future. L&L2 seem to already foreshadowed as being EndGame.

I think JJ grew up watching Tony and Genie, and sees the value in soaps of a man who loves one woman (even now, it's not like Luke actually LOVES Tracy like Laura). I think JJ has his mind pretty well made up that Elizabeth is that one woman, and he seems determined to keep selling that.

I don't want to really drag JJ's whole spiritual views into this conversation, but I do want to address that JJ is a romantic and he believes in forever with love, where you just find your soulmate and know in your heart that you're meant for that person and your soul is joined with theirs and you should always be together for eternity. He's a man who believes in commitment, respect, trust, and an abiding love story. His feelings about L&L2 make perfect sense considering his own views on love, and his history with Becky and the entire essence of the L&L2 story.

And to emphasis this point, I provide a clip where JJ himself was asked during their heyday how he felt about Lucky falling in love with Elizabeth.

No, I think it's valid to bring up his religious views, because I think #1, there's a kind of peace and a freedom to JJ that I think really allows him to be so open and vulnerable in his performances, and #2, he always attributes his prayer time when when some of his best ideas about where to take a certain scene come to him.

Note that he's very specific that he isn't just interested in the idea of Lucky being in love-- he's clear that he particularly values because it's ELIZABETH Lucky has fallen in love with.
