Years ago, tragedy gave Maxie a second chance at life when her cousin BJ
provided her with a heart transplant. Survivor's guilt has gnawed at her ever since,
leading her to embrace life with an impulsive recklessness few can match. Plain
and simple, Maxie's a bitch. But underneath that aggressiveness, there's a heart.

i was taken aback by kirsten talking about jen. i mean, i get what she's saying, but i wonder if she knows what jen REALLY said that sparked her backlash to begin with. i mean, kirsten, dude, of course it's important maxie stay relevant, but when you have someone thinking they are going to keep YOUR job... that isn't supporting you or your sickness either. ijs.

Kirsten Storms: Jen Lilly Bashers Not 'Supportive Fans of Mine'!

The new issue of Soap Opera Digest features a cover story and interview with GENERAL HOSPITAL's Kirsten Storms about her return to the soap. Storms admits she was taken aback by the recasting of Maxie with Jen Lilley at first and says she doesn't support the bashing of her replacement.

But I would prefer that someone play Maxie and be playing Maxie well to keep the character relevant and in the soap world still, because it doesn’t take much for a character to die off and for somebody else to come in and be in a front-burner storyline. I was definitely sad that I could not be there when Kimberly McCullough (Robin) was leaving during that storyline.

I don’t know that I would call the people who bashed Jen Lilley supportive fans of mine, because I think those are the people who probably were the first ones to turn around when I got sick and possibly start spreading rumors or lies and saying bad things about me on the Internet. I am grateful that they brought somebody in who could do such a great job of keeping Maxie on the canvas, and never in a million years would I have wanted her to feel like people were sticking up for me, by saying bad things to her.

Ah, ok. Wow, that is just classy. Jen decided to be a dumbass and probably feels even worse now that Kirsten said so many nice things about her.
