That's pretty much what GH does to all their couples.

That's true. There hasn't been good writing for GH since the 90's. All any of us want, no matter what couple we are a fan of, is good old fashioned romance. Forget the mob storylines or cheating storylines (unless its well thought out and written) and give us that nice build up and great storytelling. I wanna see a couple become friends and see it grow into romance and see the struggles of keeping it alive without the influence of outside people. I wanna see them acknowledge the history of certain couples and not just disregard them. Even if I wasn't a fan of a couple I still want to see them acknowledge that they did happen and that they are still in each other's circle. But of course all that is too complicated for the writers at GH.

Which is sad because there are still alot of people out there that watch soap operas. It doesn't need to die off but people don't want to watch crap either.

It is really sad. I think a lot of it has to do with RL TV. I think in a lot of ways it's ruined TV in general.

I've never liked those shows.

I don't know if it's just that they have ran out of ideas or don't care.

Everything seems to be a copy in lots of ways of what has came before.

Me and my brother were talking about this recently.

One thing is for sure there aren't any writers like Joss anymore.

The only thing that keeps me watching GH at all is JC.

I don't watch every day. I have a hard time even getting through a whole episode anymore. I watch on Soapnet.

I expected when Guza was gone that they wouldn't care about JC. I'm glad I was wrong.

Nothing Else Matters

Fans definitely still want to watch soaps. Dallas is doing good. Primetime soaps like Greys and Scandal are going strong. Not to mention other countries do very well with their soap operas. Nowadays soaps are seen in such a bad light in America and the writing is just straight awful.

I felt that way too but Guza has come and gone before the writers still wrote for JC their friendship at least.
