I sent her the YT link in a PM. It's under that channel I sent you in the Aug 90 playlist, Aug 22 episode at the end.

And that J&J run and hug is from the Jan 25th episode of 1990. I was thinking of making a gifset of all the time Jennifer jumped on Jack.

I don't know why she didn't come back earlier. DOOL didn't ask her back, I guess. JER was too busy stinking up the joint. Anne Schoettle is her name, and I think she's still writing soaps. Wiki has her listed as a script writer on Y&R currently.

Sorry I didn't come back on! I haven't watched the J&J vids yet.

I was Black Friday shopping and now I have to watch 28 tv seasons to make sure none of them are damaged. And I have 49 library items checked out.

Really weird that Jack got her out of the wedding by pretending there was a bear. Of all the lies he could've come up with. Most would've gone with gas leak.

Wow. His biological father was a serial killer? I guess it makes sense as a politician since there is a list of professions most likely to be sociopaths/psychopaths and that is in the top 10. I should look it up.

To get me focused on something other than my wedding a person would have to say something weird and I'd believe it. Your grandma can't stop speaking in tongues, we think she might be possessed! One of your sisters saw a ghost! There was a bright light, we saw a UFO, and then your cousin disappeared! I pissed off a bruja and she threatened to curse the wedding!

Jennifer wanted out. She was really sad and even when Emilio came to check on her early on she ran to the door saying/hoping it was Jack.

Jennifer was focused trying to convince herself she really wanted marry Emilio. He was like Riley in the way no threat by then. but he a fun/unique character. There were people that shipped them and they were planned as the couple and Jack to be the interloper.

JnJ are called Soaps best accident.

I never hated Emilio at all. Poor guy just fell in love with a woman that was slowly falling for someone else while they were dating.

Riley went the opposite direction and started off with the awesomely weird semi-crazy girl (Buffy) but then married the laid back girl with no issues whatsoever (Sam).

Because Kirsten probably found Sandy much more exciting and interesting than Jimmy. He was the passionate one with strong ideals while Jimmy was blah in comparison. Still don't know how someone like him got Julie.

It sounds like Jennifer sparked more with Jack than she did with Emilio.

Now that I think about it in some ways with the banter KS had reminds me of what JnJ were like later married.

I've never watched Y&R. I just read that on wiki.

Jennifer only excepted Emilio's proposal in the first place because Jack wouldn't admit his feelings to Jennifer. Jen said she would've called off the wedding on multiple occasions if Jack would just admit how he would feel. I think Jennifer was using Emilio, at least partly. She was the good girl, but she could be very manipulative too.

As for Emilio, by that point I saw him as the Ralph Bellamy character in the HIS GIRL FRIDAY movie. Dim and boring. I think even the original J&J writers compared the whole Jack/Jennifer/Emilio situation to the Walter/Hildy/Bruce situation in His Girl Friday.

As for the bear thing, that didn't really happen until after Jennifer was taken away to the cabin in the firetruck. Jack didn't want her to leave so he played bear sounds to make sure she would stay. To get Jenn out of the church, Jack used a fake smoke machine provided by Vern and pretended he was a fireman saving her from a fire. Jenn caught on it was a ruse, but by then she was on the truck and they were off. There was even a scene with Jack and Vern later where Vern said that Jack had asked him to wear a bear costume, but he drew the line at that one, though he did help with the smoke machine.
