GL Goes To Universal Studios


The cast and crew of GUIDING LIGHT is gearing up for a big on-location shoot at Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure and CityWalk in Orlando, Florida, from March 16-21. The episodes, which will air in mid-to-late April, will mainly focus on Bill (Daniel Cosgrove) and Lizzie's (Marcy Rylan) love story. Other GL cast members to appear in the episodes include Grant Aleksander (Phillip), Jeff Branson (Shayne), Beth Chamberlin (Beth), Zack Conroy (James), Bonnie Dennison (Daisy), Karla Mosley (Christina), Ron Raines (Alan), Lawrence Saint-Victor (Remy), Gina Tognoni (Dinah) and Caitlin Van Zandt (Ashlee). The rest of the cast will head down to Florida for a big Mardi Gras celebration/wrap party on Saturday, March 21.

GL is also holding an open casting call session to cast talent for the location shoot on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The session will take place at Universal CityWalk, in The Groove, which is at 1000 Universal Studios Plaza in Orlando, with Murray Bartlett (Cyrus) and GL Casting Director Rob Decina.

GL Stars Set To Wed!
Real-life sweethearts and GUIDING LIGHT co-stars Rob Bogue (Mallet) and Mandy Bruno (Marina) recently announced their engagement. The couple has been dating for over a year and plan to marry in Spring of 2010. "Rob's the love of my life," Bruno told Digest in the 2/17/2009 issue.

LIZZIE. That poor girl. I just feel so badly for her because no matter who she turns to -no one is really helping her.

BETH . Don't even get me started on her. Lizzie said it all today, when she said, here I am telling you how frightened I am and that I think dad is the kidnapper and all you can think about is that party, you are totally clueless and have lost your mind. YOU TELL HER LIZZIE. I felt the same way for you.

but then she went to Alan and he knows. He knows who kidnapped her, and yet he sent her to Grady! where is Bill?

Guiding Light's Lawrence Saint-Victor (Remy Boudreau) is going to be making a splash when he shows up in a fictional world that couldn't be more foreign to Springfield. The talented young actor will be adding another highly respectable show to his resume when he hits Primetime this month. Lawrence will be making a guest appearance on ABC's hit series, "Ugly Betty."

No details yet on exactly what he will be up to, but since the episode is called "The Sex Issue," we'll leave the contents up to your imagination. He's expected to be popping up on screen with Vanessa Williams' slightly scary and super glamorous character, Wilhelmina Slater. So has Mindy returned to Springfield yet? I read in SOD where she is coming back.

Also in SOD it talks about the role of Michelle Bauer is being looked into for an actress for the part. I'm sad that Nancy St. Alban isn't returning. Insiders say though that Michelle's part is far from being cast. Another sad note, Danny won't be following Michelle back to town.

I only started to watch GL one year ago last March? I tried to watch it on an off during the years, but it wasn't until Lizzie and Bill totally captured my attention that I wanted to see what next. Then Alan shortly afterwards had "his zen period" I loved him so much then. Every week it had me nealy in tears. Today, a wee bit like those early days for me, Marina, Mallet, the baby and then Dinah. AND then me crying for Frank, what is it that Natalia wants? Is she interested in Olivia? REALLY?? SERIOUSLY??

Olivia and Doris at the gay bar was interesting.

Dinah you better be scared, Philip knows you had a hand involved in his daughters kidnapping. Be very afraid.

Previews, just make you want to shake someone, namely Olivia, you know your own daughter, so STFU. Philip didn't kidnap Emma, Emma went out there searching and seeking her father, she was going to do it yesterday but you foiled her plans so you got busy in the bar, so she got busy planning her escape.

I saw an interview yesterday in which Crystal Chappelle and Jessica Leccia confirmed "otalia" is real, Natalia doesn't want Frank, she wants Olivia and it's going to happen.

I think the story has been handled really well actually, just like how the soaps used to tell em!

And not one of the people clued in on the voice???? that it was Grady?

So "otalia" is on track huh. However will Natalia live it down, she is "pious" I had another name for it, but decided lets play nice.

BUZZ! It hurts to watch his character just disappear and this new persona take over.

Natalia said this week that "Maybe God has someone for me that I don't expect" so I think she's gonna convince herself it's what God wants for her. I hate the way Frank is so clueless though, I mean, half of S/F know by now something's going on, and if he knows Natalia so well, why hasn't he picked up on anything?

Also, there was a spoiler about a big wedding taking place at the end of this month/early April....who could that be?! So soon! because by the looks of the spoilers Nat's not going to go through with it with Frank. Also WTF....are they just not even bothering trying to cover up JL's baby bump now?!

Let's see where to begin.....Natalia or Jessica Leccia she is getting bigger and bigger my coworkers and I were all commenting on how they aren't really hiding it and that big black coat does not do anything as far as camouflage. In SOD this week (yes I couldn't take it anymore and went out and bought one, my subscription ran out a month ago and I was thinking I was over and done with soaps, but then certain ones get something happening that pulls me back in) I digress...so in the EXTRA section have a huge paragraph about Otalia and how Jessica was worried about her pregnancy will take away from the storyline.

I think (the Natalia/Olivia relationship) is as realistic as you can get

My personal opinion is exactly that, Mallet & Marina's baby...and where did Mallet and Dinah pick up this child?? and why was Dinah in the country of this child's birth, that and that video of someone recently seen ready to give birth, but as far as GL's viewers are concerned this person died.

Philip today loved his accent when trying to pull off the scam with Cryus on the phone, loved his conversation with Dinah.

And you know the very reason why I started to watch GL is all due to Lizzie and Bill. Today they made me laugh, smile, and hum with just meeting, starting from scratch. Lizzie just had to kiss BILL, who wouldn't.

For sweeps GL decided lets get back to business. I love Jeff Branson, who plays SHAYNE. I loved him when he was on AMC as Jonathan and when I heard he was coming to GL, I couldn't have been more thrilled and excited and the anticpation was so up there.....and even though I haven't really understood his attitude when he first got home, today I fell in love with Shayne. His interaction with his dad Josh -and then Josh taking him to the celebration so that his boy can begin his life anew....so sweet. Alas, it hurts that it is with Dinah, but the good news is that Shayne knows all her little foibles, quibbles and faults and is still very much interested.

Buzz, his heartache, his torn between not want to hate, no revenge, his sanity is just up in the air. Did you all see Jenna is haunting him again.

Philip --STOP THE PRESSES. I couldn't believe he was going to just keep dangling and playing with Dinah. He actually told Alan, do anything to hurt Lizzie's happiness and I will tell her everything. GOOD. So I was expecting the same treatment to be given to Dinah, but he just couldn't take it anymore and he stepped up and said "I know everything, I know you had Lizzie in the basement tied up", and "I wanted you to know, because your little slice of heaven is going to disappear!!!!!!"

then tomorrow's previews Daisy???? OMG.

Dinah, she actually did it, she told everyone what she did. I like that Lizzie is saying let's not think about it right now, and let's not let the kidnapping and what happened since then become Lizzie and Bill's story, she wants it to be from when he came back to her now. I agree. In the long run, I can't imagine Bill not talking to Dinah. Her family will eventually forgive her.

We have to wait until MONDAY because of the basketball tournaments.

I've seen some new spoilers....looks like a big couple of weeks for Olivia/Natalia. I also have a feeling Emma is gonna run off to find Phillip...again...someone needs to fit that kid with GPRS!
