| Gina Tognoni Joins GL as Dinah Guiding Light's long search for a re-cast of Dinah Marler (previously played by actress Wendy Moniz from 1995-1999) has ended with daytime veteran Gina Tognoni reports TV Guide Online. Gina, who previously featured on One Life to Live as the original Kelly Cramer from 1995-2000 and briefly in 2001 and 2002, has joined the show with the role expected to begin later this May. Gina had reportedly been up for several roles on several shows, including General Hospital and had previously turned down the role of Kelly Cramer as she was busy at the time which lead to CBS daytime's diva Heather Tom taking the role. | |||

| any Guiding Light folks....who is Dinah Marler? will her role be big? i loved Gina - as Kelly. | Oh, dear, no. The role should be big, although I have no idea how they'll get around the fact that she's wanted for murder. I'm done with the Poor Cassie routine. It's hard for me to like her when she's up for martyrdom, and I have a feeling with Dinah back that that's exactly what we'll be getting. Plus I can't see anyone but Wendy in the role now. (I know she wasn't the original, but I wasn't watching then.)
