Am I really supposed to care about Kate & Sonny 2.0? Can both just stay in Bensonhurst together off screen forever? The fact they just had Sonny sign the divorce papers

The Skate pairing didn't really work all that well the first time. I'm not sure why a recasted version is on the books.
