Welcome To The Days Of Our Lives Appreciation/Discussion Thread!

Days Of Our Lives is set in the fictional midwestern town of Salem, and follows the lives of middle and upper-class professionals in Salem; from demonic possessions and serial killers to genre traditions such as baby switches, amnesia and classic love triangles.

The core families are the Hortons and Bradys, and along with the ever scheming Dimeras, their lives are full of romance, adventure, mystery, comedy and of course, drama. For over 43 years, this cycle of tragedies and triumphs continues its cycle, just like the show's mantra.

Like Sands Through The Hourglass, So Are The Days Of Our Lives.

Created by husband-and-wife team Ted and Betty Corday along with Irna Phillips, Days Of Our Lives premiered November 8, 1965.

yeah, i think we all have seen how much you like Melanie... i actually like her too but she's not my fav.

as for the title, the only two people who talked about a title suggestion were me and Dommie, so i went with this.

the title, nothings changed since we discussed it 40 post ago.

2009 come on...bring on some action, romance, intrigue-anything but what you have been giving us old recycled trash. DAYS was my obsession and now it is so sad that i can't even watch a full episode. I am thinking back to the Day of Days and the promo and just wondering what happened??????? I am so MIA, not even bothering to look at the mess the trainwreck has been leaving behind.

The whole Chloe and Drfeelgoodsleazemanwhore thing, in SOW or SOD the actor himself said that he can't even hug a woman on set without hearing a comment about Daniel doing that one next.

When did they get to be so in LUST that they were tearing their clothes off each other and they are 'fated'. It came out of NO WHERE.

It's so boring now.
They need to shake things up a bit.
A earthquake, a hurricane, a hostage situasion, a kidnapping, a fake death (that we know and see happens) Or just a simple a party at the Dimera Masion where all the characters get together, and "something" happens!

no we need more Melanie...i literally did not bother to watch because Melanie was not on for the last couple of days, the only day i watched was monday and friday of last week.

I agree with Dommie, it's sooooo boring right now. I'm accually getting turned off. Last week I barely watched the episodes anything Chloe and Dr. Dooeveryone scenes were so badly done.

Lucas should get out fast and soon cause Chloe doesn't love him. Loved the Lucas and Chelsea scenes friday they are getting closer. I'm NOT shipping them and will never cause they are kind of family. But that was something different.

BTW, I love the OP the banner and introduction very nice.

I haven't watched DAYS since they gave these two such a stupid S/L.
And to be honest I'm not a fan of any of the younger characters right now.

I think they should give all that time to some older characters.

I will make a small comment about Melanie, it is too bad they made her Max's sister. It seems to be a bad trait on soaps, the people related by blood have the most chemistry.
