Yep and it's the Austin Peck version of Austin. I know he's not the original Austin but that's who played the role when I first started watching Days during the Carrie/Austin/Sami triangle so for me it's almost like he is the real Austin.

The more I see the more I dislike is kind word at this point.

It sucks all these returns are short term.

I can think of a bunch of teens they could get rid of to give the good characters we love money.

I know Days doesn't have enough for the popular characters/actors for longer.

Anna, Carrie and Austin do make for some hilarious comedy moments. Especially when Anna refused to leave the police station without Tony's ashes then took off when their backs were turned.

They haven't yet, and probably because DAYS films 6 months in advanced and oddly the storyline right now is the search for Joseph Mascolo character "Stefano DiMera" who turns out might still be alive...

So, I think it's just an awakward storyline is shows why DAYS shouldn't be filming 6 months ahead. It's been announced that Mascolo probably filmed some scenes before his death... so, no idea how this storyline will end.
I don't think a recast will happen but Stefano died, so I guess he'll briefly return and then probably die again off screen somehow?

A major character I remember dying off screen was Katherine Chancellor of Young and the Restless because the actress Jeanne Cooper died... however, her storyline in the end was crazy. It sort of felt like her time was slowly approaching which is why her last scene of the show was powerful.

So, I'm assuming that the actor of DAYS will get a tribute when this storyline is complete?

Exactly! This is a huge example of the problems of a 6 month delay.
They should have just left Stefano's death as it was and found some other ridiculous way to get Hope off the charges like a mental breakdown courtesy of Bo's death causing her actions. Bo's death which I'm still bitter has been completely forgotten whilst Saint Daniel died earlier yet gets non-stop mentioned.

I'm glad they are rewriting the Stefano SL.

I wish it was this new writing team that actually takes writing serious writing now.

NBC is giving Days one last real shot before going the cancellation root.

The writer is given credit for saving GH! Sheri Anderson is the best part. She had a hand in everything good ever about Days. She created all the beloved characters from the 80's.

Plus all the Supercouples. She created the entire Brady's DiMera's Johnson's families plus Jack & John. The important Horton's of the show then like Jennifer.

Big news at DAYS: The show has replaced Co-Head Writer Dena Higley with Emmy-winning scribe Ron Carlivati, who toiled at both GENERAL HOSPITAL and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, effective immediately. His title will be Head Writer. Higley’s Co-Head Writer, Ryan Quan, will remain with the new title of Creative Consultant. Daytime Emmy-winner Sheri Anderson Thomas, who has served on DAYS’s writing team in various capacities, including head writer and co-head writer in the ’80s and ’90s, will also hold the Creative Consultant title. I think Days now has a chance to make it.

I don't want the first soap I ever loved cancelled.

Even if it turns out I hate everything he writes.

My mom had me watching it when I was a baby.

She said when I was a toddler I loved Marlena.
