Hey everyone!
So I was wondering:
If you should pick the 3 best/funniest episodes of HIMYM from season 1-7, which ones would it be?
Or it could be the 5 best/funniest episodes - your choice!
I honestly don't know my top 3 (or 5). But I can mention one though.
And that's "Swarley" from season 2.

There's so many that rank up there for me though. I'll go by season... it'll make for more discussion.

Season 1 top three:

1. Pilot
It was a great introduction to all of these characters, most shows don't give you such a good look at everyone right off the bat but this one did.

2. Zip Zip Zip
Our first look into the Barney/Robin dynamic. And the budding Ted/Victoria romance.

3. Come On
I just loved the way this episode was done. The whole rain dance plot was cute. and the ending shots played off each other very well.

Game night - So hilarious to see Barney in the past as a hippie!
So I only need one more episode to add and Disaster Averted sounds like the last one but maybe not.

One of the main reasons asking you this question is because i have a friend who thinks HIMYM is pretty lame (don't know what's wrong with him...). So I need to pick the 3 best/funniest episodes from HIMYM so I can show him that HIMYM is the Best and most AWESOME show ever!

Season 2
1. Slap Bet - I'd say this one is obvious. The beginning of the never ending slaps.

2. Bachelor Party - Both Lily and Marshall's parties are hilarious and we get the added bonus of a peek at a deeper Barney when it's revealed he went to get Lily to come back from SF.

3. Something Blue - ML married. Barney trying to get the details about what TR are hiding and thinking it's Robin's pregnant. Hilarious.

Season 3
1. Slapsgiving - Slapbet countdown. Hee.

2. Sandcastles in the Sand - Robin Sparkles. BR. So much greatness.

3. Miracles - Barney/Ted make up. Ted realizes he loves Stella, which hindsight... horrible storyline but at the time in the show. Great episode.

Extra eppy - The Platinum Rule - I really like the format of this one with the whole going back and forth between multiple past stories.

I hate the slapbet it was fun early on but it just got mean. It's fun to watch but really painful too cause my heart can't take it when Barney gets slapped and apparently Robin can't either it's why she gave him the 5 whenever option.

So many great episodes to chose from but my main 3 would have to be:

1) The Final Page Part 2 (Series 8 ep 12) - Do i even need to explain why lol?

2) The Bracket (Series 3 ep 14)- Was great to see all the scams Barney gets up to with the ladies, but what really chuckled me is when he pretends to be blind (i'm tearing up with laughter thinking about it now). Gets me everytime.

3) Symphony of Illumination (Series 7 ep 12)- It was great to see an episode based on Robin where is doesn't regard a male falling in love with her. Also seeing how Ted cheered her up with the Christmas lights was a really beautiful scene. A real touching episode.

I could actually pick tons more but i'll be a good girl .

Ah, but that whenever option is what gave the slaps the thrill... we never know when there coming.

Season 4
1. Benefits - Barney realizes he really does love Robin. That is all. Also, him throwing tv's, hilarious.

2. Murtaugh - Totally played off of Lethal Weapon and that's like one of my favorite movie series.

3. The Leap - Just all around greatness.

It's hard to pick none BR episode but I'll try.

The Pilot: Even though I came into the show late in season 6 I remember so past episodes I just randomly skimmed in the past but when I saw the Pilot I thought it was one of the best Pilot's I've ever seen.

Something Borrowed and Something Blue" Marshall & Lily's wedding that was really funny (Scooter) and the emotional ceremony outside when Barney marries them.

The World's Greatest Couple: Lily trying to get settled in to her apartment and winding up at Barney's from that point on the episode was just hilarious and it made me really interested in Barney & Lily's friendship. And I mean really interested to the point where I sometimes dream that maybe these two would be an interesting couple.

How can you possibly pick three episodes of this show? You can't!

World's Greatest Couple is awesome. I love the Barney/Lily dynamic.

Season 5
1. Definitions - I'd say my love of this one is obvious. lol.

2. The Playbook - I think anything associated with the playbook is hilarious.

3. Doppelgangers - ML decide to have a baby. Nuff said. Oh and Barney apparently really wants them to but doesn't want to admit it. Aww.

Barney's a softy, I think that is what makes him human and not like a robot or just a horrible womanizer. He has a good heart and cares about his friends and family. NPH, just makes him awesome and not lame at all.

I love how far Barney has come in the last two seasons but his views on love and friendship was always part of the character and sometimes people just don't get that he's more than some bad boy womanizer.

Do I Know You?: Is one of the examples of how Lily and Robin both see Barney as and that's another episode I love too.

Now I've finally found the 3 episodes which I believe can make my friend more interested in HIMYM!
The episodes are:

Game night (Season 1, episode 15) - I think it's an important episode because it shows the Barney from before he became awesome! (And it's also so hilarious!)

Swarley (Season 2, episode 7) - The only reason why i'm picking this one is because it's so freaking hilarious!!

Slap bet (Season 2, episode 9) - The beginning of the slap bet which have led to great episodes troughout the seasons so far, and we get to see Robin's old self from her time in Canada, so I got to show this one!

There's also a lot of other great episodes that I want to show my friend but that'll wait till later.
