Ted fell in love with Robin or rather with the thought of finally finding a girl he could spend the rest of his life with...He was just so anxious to find the love of his life, to settle down, that he had hoped that the search was over, that he found the girl, the one...but later they had this talk and I think Ted realised that he got too deep in this whole thing and they both agreed it would be healthier to just be friends. And I guess they are much better as friends.

Are you a fan of Ted/Robin?

I'm a shipper fan. I tend to like certain shows for couples. And I adore Ted and Robin together. Regardless of whether she's the aunt of his children or not, I still want a Ted/Robin reunion by the end of the show. Obviously, I doubt that it will happen. I think the writers are set on Robin/Barney and Ted/someone else. But what can I say? I still root for Ted/Robin.

The one thing I like about certain couples is the chemistry. And there is just something special about the Josh/Cobie chemistry that makes me a fan of Ted/Robin.

I love them both as a couple and as friends; I was sad when I learned she wasn't the mother; but knowing that they're still close friends in the future makes me happy

Do we know that they are still close friends in the future? I haven't watched every single episode. So I'm probably missing some stuff.

In an episode they show a pic of a drawing that Ted's kids did; it shows Robin holding the kids' hands and it says "aunt robin". Plus the fact that she's "aunt robin" for the kids shows that Ted and her are friends

Rather as friends then lovers but I haven't seen season 2 yet - I'm in half of seaoson 1 so I can't judge but I don't think it will change. I really like their friends chemistry and think their freindship is great.

About the whole aunt thing - they are friends for sure. I mean he told them aunt Robbie so they know her, what means that they are still close. Also in teh first season in the Slutty Pumpkin episode they VO said: You know how aunt Robbie loves to wear costumes at Haloween, well it wasn't always like this....This scene and those word would suggest that they are still close but as friends.

I just finished watching season 2 and...wow...I'm sad. Ted and Robin were great together...I loved them. Yes, I'm really sad

It's great that they stay friends but for me it would've been perfect, if they stayed together!

We all knew Ted & Robin would have to come to an end eventually, but it still was very sad. Wasn't their break-up scene just beautiful though? I hated to see them end, but the break-up scene was just the sweetest break-up I've ever seen.

Like you, I'm so glad that they at least remained friends after all that happened between them.

Yeah, I knew that she's not the mother but it was sad anyway...
I started watch season 3 now and they slept together again

that makes me always a little bit happier

For me too. But oh well, I can still watch seasons one and two over and over again. I think those are the best seasons.

i have said it before and i'll say it again, i will never like them with anyone else. i am also bummed that she's the mother, but we can always hope they get together in the future or something.
