I think she had a really really strong first half of the season.

Hell, even when heavily pregnant she was doing a lot more than the average pregnant actress.

You gotta give props to a pregnant actress who still does pretty much everything from scenes where she sprawled on the kitchen floor, to all her morning show antics (albeit in the background during that episode), and full on making-out with some guy on the couch. I give her mad props.

A lot of actresses end up being stuck sitting behind a table for the whole duration of their pregnancy.

Totally. If they could consider all of those things and not base it just on the performance you see in one episode, she'd be a certainty to win this year!

Does anyone remember the episode commentary of Season 2 where they are talking about Cobie's scenes with the guns and one of them says that someone should make her Wonder Woman?

I haven't watched that with commentaries, but seriously, I had never before last night thought about Cobie being Wonder Woman. I didn't even know they were making a movie

But as soon as I saw that she was in the running, it made perfect sense! She is perfect physically, she looks so much like the original Wonder Woman! It's insane!

Daph, when Joss Whedon was supposed to be writing the WW movie (he's not now) he said afterwards that she was his first choice. He said it in a typical jokey Joss way, but I think he meant it too.
