It was my boyfriend who found it and I honestly found it much easier to watch because S9 was a lot of filller IMO.

I wish it didn't taint the show for me but it did. I spent years following HIMYM and felt honestly betrayed by the ending, which is pretty dramatic but true.

If the ending of a show tainted it for me I wouldn't be an fan of Dexter either.

It was on the internet, someone on reddit's HIMYM section made it I think, maybe boyfriend will know if I ask. The ending was changed quite a bit to remove the Barney/Robin divorce and Tracey's death but use as much footage as possible.

I have never seen Dexter and all the stuff I have heard about the ending being the worst in TV history puts me off I'm still mad about HIMYM years later so I don't need another show to be mad at too!

Oh, I don't have reddit. I don't even have a Facebook. But that seems similar to the edit of the finale that was released on YouTube. That one didn't remove the divorce, but it ended with the implication that Barney and Robin would get back together after their divorce.

I didn't even bother with the Dexter finale. I was kinda hoping he'd end up with his adopted sister, but oh well.
