I didn't know that either. But I think I read everyone of them used to smoke.. and got back into their bad habit.

Well, I was surprised too when I read the storyline for this episode, but I knew Barney and Robin smokes cigars but I find weird that the others are smoking too...
I guess I just have to wait and see the episode to judge. __________________

Especially when we all know how Alyson hates smokers. I hope she hadn't to smoke for the episode!

Yeah, I think that the whole smoking storyline is going to be explained within the episode, we're not supposed to go into it thinking we should have known all this time that they smoke.

I was thinking about the smoking thing today and they all smoked in the past. Ted and Marshall have smoked in college and we can see in the episode "How I met everyone else", we see Ted, Marshall and Lily smoking at the end of the episode.
And I think I'm thinking too much about it lol __________________

it was definately interesting to see them all smoking, and of course it all happened as a group thing, and they all influenced each other. i did notice that for the most part you just saw them holding cigarettes, they didn't actually take hits of them in most instances, which is good.

I totes thought about smoking a cigarette because of this. My friends and I have this same problem. One begins to smoke and then it is all of us. The habit of quitting happens all the time.
