How do they make something so perfect in that scene and then...did they use up all the possible perfection in that scene and just couldn't do anymore?

That's the only explanation I can come up with tbh. How can you write such a perfect scene in the midst of such a bad episode, especially, how can you screw up so royally in the last three minutes of your show AFTER said perfect scene?
