I wonder how much of the mother will be shown in season 9. I really hope we get flashbacks of her in earlier years. Like maybe she ran into Ted at some point in time but didn't actually meet. I want to get to know her I need them to show who she is and what her life was like.

Sorry guys, I dropped by to say I saw Cristin in a couple of indie movies she's had a part and she is indeed a very funny actress, she is really great at comedy. That's a plus for the role, isn't it?


I really believe it was a great casting choice.

I really think they picked the right actress for the mother Cristin is really cute and I can see her with Ted. I hope we get to see them together before the series ends.

Basically, season 9 is gonna play out like this:

The weekend of Barney and Robin's wedding begins.

Flashback to the mother meeting Marshall at some point in the past.

Flash-forward to the future where Ted tells the mother he loves her in front of that movie theater.

Flashback to the mother meeting Barney at some point in the past.

Flash-forward to Ted asking the mother to marry him in the future, and she accepts.

Flashback to the mother meeting Robin at some point in the past.

Flash-forward to Ted and the mother's wedding.

Flashback to the mother meeting Lily at some point in the past.

Flash-forward to Ted and the mother having their children.

And interspersed between these flashbacks and flash-forwards will be the events that take place during the wedding weekend, which will encompass the entire season - the Ted/Robin/Barney situation being dealt with(?), Ted seeing the mother play in the band at the wedding, and Marshall having to tell Lily he accepted the judicial appointment just as they are about to leave for Rome.

Included in the flash-forwards will be events that take place in the rest of the characters' lives as well, going years and even decades into the future.

Finally, in the present-day, Ted will meet the mother at the train station after the wedding. THE END.

That's as close as I can explain it, at least according to what the show-runners have said.

So, basically it's gonna be a cross between LOST and 24.

Yeah, I feel the same way plus hopefully that we can get to know her little more than just already know that she's the mother of Ted's kids..

I like that the cast someone who can be a bit of a dork and be kind of a nerd with Ted. I hope we see a lot of them in the future.
