Why one weekend? I'm sure we'll see flash backs/forwards too though..I hope! 24 episodes in a span of 3-4 days? Hmmm..And why would they let that plan out of the bag now? People are not liking that idea!

I like the idea and I'm 100% certain that there will be a lot of flashbacks and -forwards. There is a lot of story they have yet to cover about the story and I'm pretty sure that the wedding will bring back a lot of characters from all the past seasons (I can very well imagine some of Barney's exes to show up out of the blue, or Ted's for the matter).

And the mother, being part of the wedding band, is going to be right in the middle of it all.

The only thing I dont like is we'll never see Ted's wedding to YM if they stay at this format all the way thru

I think we'll get flash forwards next season I know there have been talks about it for over a year now this isn't a new thing that just came out now. But, they have to include the mother in different storylines and they have to have her interact with the gang. They won't leave her out so we should get a glimpse into the future of their wedding.

I like this! It's a clever way for the audience to get to know her character before Ted even meets her, and seeing exactly why she's the One.

It's great to know that she has a face and she's a real person not someone made up by future Ted because he's alone in the future. I think she's going to be great for Ted and I hope they let us in on who she is and how Ted fell for her and why she's the one for him.

Nice, so that means we'll definitely see alot of her... I'm starting to come around to the idea of the weekend long season 9 now.
