This isn't really a goof, but in the first season we saw Barney with his girlfriend and I think it was said they weren't having sex, and only after she dumped him he changed, but in the last episode they implied that his change came from that guy taunting him in seventh grade and that was when he decided to sleep with so many girls.

I thought that too. I think I'm going to choose to take it that after he broke up with Shannon, and talked to that Greg guy, he remembered the conversation with the kid in seventh grade and something snapped inside him and that's what happened. I think.

I think it makes sense that several things and not just one event changed Barney so drastically. It's like an entire build up of issues!

Yeah, maybe he was always impressed by that guys 100-girls list, but since he loved Shannon so much, he wasn't thinking about it much. But when he suited-up it all came back...

Its one of the things that I did notice and it bugged me badly. We see him freaking out and getting all bent about driving. Then oh we see him being able to drive in, what the next episode __________________

Yep, the very next one! And he apparently could drive at some point a while ago to be able to drive off and leave that girl in the woods, too!

Barney's been known to use other people's apartments to take girls to, why not cars? And did Barney drive Ted's mom to the airport, or just take a cab with her?
Something small that I noticed is when Ted describes seeing Marshall for the first time, he's wearing headphones, lying in bed, feet on the wall but when they actually show the meeting Marshall's freaking out about the "dean" coming and not relaxing in his bed. __________________

That one about Ted and Marshall is an excellent point, though! Another small one I have is that Ted described his sister as "it took her six years to graduate from three different colleges, during which time she wrecked two cars, got married for five days, and lived in a tree for nine weeks, only to realize that no one had any intention of cutting it down." In season two, he said he had to learn to like his sister's husband, though he wears sandals with socks. Why would he "learn to like" somebody who she was only married to for five days? __________________

I'm curious, do we have an estimate as to when Ted taught Barney how to drive?
The sister thing is so weird. I also think it's weird that Ted helped her get a place, but we never hear from her. __________________
