I can't believe I'm gonna type it, but looks like I've taken the devil's advocate role here... One could argue that the major popularity of this pairing is obvious exclusively on the internet and doesn't necessarily reflect the general viewers' point of view...

I'm pretty sure it's going to be Robin/Barney in the end. They've been hinting at it for a long time. They're just taking their time with it, like introducing the mother.

I'd love to be as confident as you guys are, but I prefer just not counting that much on them ending up together in case it wouldn't happen and I'd be disappointed as hell...

I've been disappointed time and time again by my fave shows and HIMYM is the first show that's never done it to me so I'm just feeling really positive about it.
