I'd be okay with them hooking up offscreen because there's no way they wouldn't go back and tell us the whole story anyway.

Oh yeah, there would definitely be some flashbacks! I think it could be cool. Although it kinda reminds me of how J/H hooked up on That 70s Show, so I'm hoping for something different here.

I know but it's like... I kinda want to be surprised... like, they're having a scene, and then they kiss or declare their feelings and I go "Oh my God!"
I don't want to already KNOW they're going to kiss/declare their feelings, because Future!Ted already told me. Does that make sense? __________________

Oh totally. Like it to be a total shock. Maybe someone of the gang catches them in the act, that would be hilarious, and not Future!Ted going "This is the story of how your Uncle Barney and Aunt Robin got together"

It could be a mix of both... you know, like at the beginning of an episode, one of the gang catches them (and we go "OMFG!!!") and then we get the flashbacks to B/R hooking up throughout the episode when they explain everything to everyone at the bar.
