Serena sat there staring at her phone and then she looked up at Aaron. She didn’t know what to do? How had she gotten herself in this mess? She knew she didn’t love Aaron and he knew she didn’t love him, so what exactly was she doing? She flicked open her phone and looked through it till she saw that image of them. It was a picture of her and Dan in central park. They were huddled close together as she took a close up of them. She’d refused to delete it from her phone for a reason. It was a reminder of happier times and she knew she wasn’t ready to let him go.

He loves me and being with him doesn’t ruin my mothers happiness.


Serena gritted her teeth and sat back in the cab. This was bound to be a great experience. How many chances did a girl have to go to Brazil? She looked over at Aaron and wondered what exactly was so great about what she was about to do. Did she really want to be with him? Was it worth throwing away her love for Aaron?

You’re turning into your mother

Serena did not want to become her mother. It was the last thing in the world that she wanted for herself. For Gods Sake, her stepfather had just died and her little brother was left home alone all over again. When she came back a year and half ago, it was not to turn into this. She turned to Aaron and said, “I can’t do this.”

“What? What is this about Dan?”he asked.

“This is about me. I can’t do this. Sir, Sir please pull over.”

“Serena don’t do this. Think about it. Think about what we could have,”Aaron pleaded.
