It's not the type of film that he should have promoted anyway. I think he knows what's up. I've always felt that Penn knows exactly what he's doing. He's very strategic in his choices and he didn't know about this one but he took a leap. It wasn't good, he didn't promote. I respect that. Actors can't leave things off their resumes like you can with a regular job. I can't stand an actor that does a million press junkets for something they clearly don't believe in.

With the negative energy some Buckley fans has, I'm not too sure he should mention it without people asking. He'll receive hate. Those fans are quite.... annoying.

Though on promotions, actors can choose whether or not they promote in their own social media. Just to say this, more than half of Hollywood stars rarely promote in their own time. There are people like Teresa Palmer who would gladly post about PPB but then again there are people like Penn who only promotes his band. He's not required to promote outside of the official promotions and well, there is no official promotions. So yeah, no harm done here. We may want him to talk about it but maybe he doesn't have anything to talk about. And even if there is an official promotions, 70% of the questions isn't even about the movie itself.

The movie is out, so really, let it be.

Those who watched it praised him, But the thing is there are too much people who judges before even watching. I know this group of fans, there are lots and they are very... annoying. Lol there is even a fan who watched the movie just to bash it. The good thing is that fan actually liked it. That is how stupid some Buckley fans is, sadly.

I agree 100%. Most of his fans are young or not into these types of movies so it's hard for him to really get praise on roles if no one is watching.
