Yeah I knew it came out in May I just wasn't sure when, so I just randomly checked out amazon today and now i'm excited!

Maybe in the OP, we can have a list of what book Dan is like and how tv show Dan is like. I'd love to hear some comparisons. I have the first book, just haven't read it yet, so i'm curious.

That is something that would be interesting in the series, but I'm glad Dan isn't in the show. Smoking is bad

I love Show Dan so much more than Book Dan.. I'm currently reading the 1st book.. and i'd fear for Serena

I'm glad they portrayed him differently than the books. Because otherwise i'm not sure i would have liked him as much. |

I'd have been okay with him being a bit stalkerish for the first ep or two of the show. Maybe have him and Jenny watching the UES gang at school or around town. I know they wanted the Pilot to be dramatic, but with the rush, it was just a bit crazy and I know the Pilot did turn a lot of people away. ALthough I loved D/S in the pilot, maybe the show would have garnered more fans by bringing them something to look forward too or seeing the difference. Maybe we could have seen Dan still liking Serena from a far, but then build up to where he still liked her and her crazy ways. LOL

Yeah I would've liked a little more build up to DS also. It would have made the pilot more interesting.
