otherwise it's just bad tv :)

also what's with the racism **** again? thomas was well liked. he was my favoritte S3 guy. then merv got twitter and thomas' ep in S4 was really bad.

stop looking for excuses already to call us...whatever.

Build up is in the eye of the observer. In my opinion that can be justified,or invalidated depending on who the particular pairings involved are. My opinions are relevant because they are mine. I appreciate someone may disagree, but calling them 'excuses' suggests you already believe your opinion is more valuable than mine. I'm never sure why people feel a majority consensus means they can try to bully the beliefs out of other people. Also,I have seen terms such as homophobia and misogyny used on a daily basis when people discuss their opinions of the show. There has been no sanction,or question of the allowance of these terms in discussion. Surely if people are free to discuss those beliefs ,i'm sure to discuss mine, concerning racism? Or is there a double standard concerning homosexuality and feminism? If so,why?

um no it's really not. it's about whether they had scenes together and malo had one. two if we're being generous (in S5)

and if you start with that racism **** again.. i think you're dead wrong about this fandom in regards to that...
you just seem to LOVE to play the victim tbh and your way of posting on E4 seems way OTT. like you're obsessed with trying to prove we're out to get you or characters you like.

The amount of scenes is less important than what the creators and producers say. It's their show after all. That philosophy seems to be relevant when the shoe is on the other foot as well. People only disregard it when they are not being pacified. As far as the other. it is hilarious how you keep trying to prove how much of a bigot you may not be while throwing out much of the terminology that veiled bigots use. 'Victim?" next you'll tell me i'm playing a 'race card, right? Nearly everything about Skins screams,"No people of colour allowed," including it's fandom. I have a right to that opinion the same way an army of Minky fans feel they are the victims of homophobia and sexism. Win an argument against it. You can't.

there may be a lot of racist people out there but i've yet to encounter anyone in this fandom who said they don't like particular characters because of their color. or they like certain characters better because they're white. in fact, the only person who seem to be obsess with the idea of the characters' race so far has been you.

franky and alo are the ones getting a lot of negative feedback in the fandom right now and they're white. grace is one of the most beloved characters in the fandom and she's black. liv is somewhere in the middle but that's not because she's black.

when i first started watching S2, cook was actually getting a lot of hate. and thomas was actually one of the characters that were loved by the fandom. that got turned during S4. again, color had nothing to do with that. it was in the way their characters were written.

and as far as S1 goes, chris/jal was certainly more popular than tony/michelle. and michelle was the one who received the least love amongst the female characters while jal may not be the absolute favourite but she was pretty much in the middle.

i just don't get why you'd accuse a fandom of being racist just because not all black characters are worshiped and not all the black characters are the number one favourite, etc. when we see characters, we see CHARACTERS, not their color.

and as far as i've observed in the fandom, laya is actually one of the favourites amongst the cast. and it's not because she's black but because she's got a GREAT PERSONALITY. i wouldn't call anyone in this fandom a racist unless they put too much focus on the race and i haven't encountered anyone who's done that except you. :/

anyway, what has all these got to do with mini's episode anyway? as far as i know, there wasn't any plotline involving the color of her skin?

I'll always remember this episode just for how gorgeous Freya looked in that red dress.
