It...wasn't as ridiculous as I thought it would be? The Malo moment lying in bed was sweet and I hate Malo. Ngl I liked Ryan more than Alo this ep. :lol: Minky :love: Although Franky was a bit creepy re: "My pregnancy sense is tingling!"

Best episode by far!! I felt awful for Mini throughout the episode, but you really understand where she is coming from.

same here. and her weird sketch.. but I really liked their scene in the closet and the one in the end ...I still don't get why Mini can talk with Franky but not with Liv :cry:

Another bad episode and at this point it has surpassed Skins US as the worst season of Skins ever. The trite plotlines - both Mini seeking out her Dad and Mini being pregnant - are at this point predictable (in that the writers seem to have no comprehension at what it takes to make organic storylines that are driven by the characters). The simplistic backstory for Mini's self-loathing is ineptitude at it's poorest. The acting was rather poor but it seems as if these actors are lost on what to do with such shoddy material. Even getting past the risible retcon of Mini, the Mini and Alo scenes still don't work on any level. They are as phony and laughable as the rest of series 5 (with the exception of Alex).

At this point, there have been 4 horrible episodes and 1 okay one (Alex). As bad as Skins US was, it did not reach that level of bad.

Maybe it can turn itself around but at this point, Skins has thoroughly damaged it's once proud name and what was once a daring, original show has become lazy trope after lazy trope. Considering how strong series 5 was, this is even more disturbing. What was a rich, nuanced show for the most part has become a series of storylines that seem ratings driven. There was not one single moment of this episode that was not predictale (with the recognition of how low the show has aimed most of this year) and there was not one moment that rang true. This was truly pathetic.

Particularly galling is it's depiction of women. This may be the most offensive show on television when it comes to women with it wavering between outright misogynistic and utter condescension. How did this happen? How did a show which had such beautiful, honest, nuanced portrayals of 4 women last year turn into this mess? Getting past the debates over lesbophobia, over adrogyny being seen as a sign of being troubled, etc. I still arrive back at how it demeans women. What an offensive piece of crap.

This whole season has just been a major ****fest on women in my opinion. I don't even watch it anymore. I would rather watch Skins US at this point, at least Daisy was treated decently.

Great cinematography to look at as well (the aquarium and the view of the harbour at night)

i just dont really understand how they can build up all these relationships in the first half and then in the second half completely dismiss them all and do completely new ones. i dont get it at all.

I loved it. I don't know everytime I see Skins dealing with family's bonding I just love the episode by default.

I didn't know anything about the pregnancy or the fact her dad was still alive so it came out as a surprise for me.The different dynamics between Mini and Gregory and Mini and Eric were amazing to watch.And that last scene Freya made me tear up :'( She was so good in it.
The only thing I kind of wished was in the episode is definitely a proper Rich/Mini talking about Grace. The point is that really she can't talk at all about it.Franky had a radar :lol: so Mini didn't even have to tell her.

Edit: Also Rich is BACK. Thank lord. I have missed him. I wish I were Alo to hug him,not going to lie.

Ok well first of all, wtf was with Franky obsessing over preggers Mini :lmao: that was kind of freaky.

other than that my main complaint would be no happy moment between Mini and her mum :shrug: but I did enjoy the family element. Maybe Mini's happiness over the baby will make her realise her mum was being honest in how much she loves her and things will be better.

Freya gave a wonderful performance :D she's a fantastic actress.

This! I was looking forward to one at the end but we never got it :( Although I really did love the scene between Mini and Eric.
