Well... I haven't posted in skins thread for ages...*lying, I just posted on Lily's not so long ago* but u know what I mean.

So.. um.. episode was a bit **** yeah? yeah.. umm.. yeah I liked the final scene with Grace and the nurse and the scenes with Grace/Rich were cute as well as the Mini/Nick scene.. that was beautiful (OTP) I loved to see Josie and Doug back .. they reminded me I was watching Skins, otherwise I would have kept thinking I was a watching a new show..

Acting got better for some got worst for others, I am not even going to discuss ships cause I am TIRED OF IT. But I must say I stopped watching and felt completely disgusted with the sex scenes.. out of nowhere, forced, just pathetic.

Overall? I don't feel like watching the rest of the series, not a huge fan of the gen anyways but I am going to keep watching cause I have faith in some of the writers and I think they might change some characters for better and I might have new favs this series.. Nick is going there and I am still waiting for Alex!

I'm going to take a more positive look at things. I think others have made some good points of criticism of the episode.

I think we care about the show so much that sometimes I think we will never be satisfied. It comes with the territory of loving something or holding something to high esteem.

I thought that Hardlet was beautiful from start to finish. They wrote the characters well. They were really sweet. Alex breaks my heart. The fact that Rich was wearing those clothes due to not wanting to buy new clothes that he will never wear makes me laugh. They were all around really sweet.

Nick was also great in this episode and towards the end that moment with Mini was great as well.

The car accident in general was done well as well. The fact that it went silent and then you saw the rest of the group. It was good. I also think they picked the most tear jerking scenario. They hurt the person who was not even supposed to come to Morocco on holiday. Then picked a person who got into the car to talk to Matty about Franky. (Which I did not find weird at all. Grace likes to fix things. She tried Franky so she went to talk to Matty. Makes sense to me.)

I even loved Liv and the fact that she has a protective instinct in her and her fun loving nature as well was much needed.

The episode sets up the series very nicely. It was better than the suicide at the beginning of Season 4. I think at this point we should cautiously continue to watch. Especially if you do dig Gen 3. I am curious to see what they do this plot line.

By the way...is the nurse Rich's mom? I got the feeling she was..but he never said Mom I don't think.

I can't wait to see what happens with these two when I finally get to see the new season. They're my favorite part about the show.

I can't wait to see where they take us with this whole scenario. No matter how we feel about certain characters, who we ship, or which generation we prefer most. I think one thing is for sure. It is going to be a crazy ride like it always is. I can't wait to see what unfolds!

Ok I heard that Mini and Alo fooled around. Which makes a bit of sense to me there was some flirting last season. And I'm guessing Alo isn't bad in that department considering all the porn he consumes. Some of it must have made an impact and considering how much time he practices. I think they probably not thinking at the moment of ending up like Grace and Rich. But just having some summer fun with friends with benefits.

This episode was a mess. I can't find a better word to describe it.
Still, I enjoyed it way more than I expected. That's probably because I had very low expectations, so they couldn't surprise me (yet they still managed to do it). I agree with who said we care about the show so much that we'll never be fully satisfied, so I'm watching the rest of the episodes with an open mind and hoping some of the writers can do justice to the characters I love. It's gonna be a long ride, that's for sure.

Rich and Grace were perfect. Only thing I enjoyed from start to finish. Loved the conversation between Mini/Nick at the end and it was nice to see Josie and Doug, again I agree with who said they reminded us we were in Skins

The problem is that (at least) half of the characters were completely OOC to me. It's like they forgot S5 even existed for some of them. I knew it was coming but it's hard to swallow. I'm probably gonna need to watch it again.
I also think they wanna make us 'hate' some characters at the start so they can redeem them or whatever. Not gonna work on me, Skins I knew who these characters were, making them OOC and then acting like it's fine is not gonna make it better, sorry. Anyway, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until I see the whole season. Can't wait to see Rich's episode and then Alex.

I enjoyed your entire posting by the way! Rich Cain warned us things were gonna get messed up big time in the first episode. But despite the annoyances it was a gorgeous looking episode and they definitely did take the plot to a new level. So out of control that **** is gonna get crazy I am sure .

As for the OOC. I agree initially. I actually got done watching it a second time with my Mom. Who is actually a huge skins fan (gen 3) only. I told her many people thought Franky was ooc and becoming the new Effy. My Mom said something that made me ponder.

Franky has never been intimate with someone or have a relationship with someone. Then she went on a long ass vacation with her new boyfriend. Where they were around one another 24/7. She felt smothered and started to act out. My Mom said she could see then my Mom said that she always figured that Franky was a dangerluster. She digged Matty because he seemed dangerous and mysterious. Went on vacation and the mystery was gone. Then found a new mysterious guy to go after that lead to insane consequences.

I do think Mini and Alo was a bit rushed. However it all depends on how they write it afterwards that will determine whether or not I dig it.

Nick I thought was awesome as well. No complaints there. Liv was good too.

Matty i am not sure about OOC due to not knowing him that well anyway. We just know he is smitten.

Again those are just some ideas.

Definitely watch it again. I liked it much better the second time around. Hardlet is just as perfect both times lol

If you mods are not going to go through a thread and burn every single person starting trouble why even be mods? I said it once and i'll say it again,mods on these forums seem to have trouble properly enforcing the rules when they are close to certain posters. However,you have no problem with constantly coming after people who don't feel the need to play the herding games these forums encourage. Just stop the damn hipocrisy.

Personally, I'll try not to judge Franky until I've seen her episode. I need some insight into her world to understand why she became like this.

No they won't. Posters get away with thread after thread of bashing posters,fandoms,creators,writers,actors and all. Especially in one particular continuous fan thread. Everyone knows what thread it is too! No one ever says anything until 'someone brings it up.' That particular thread on this board where so many offenses have taken place in the past week or two I know for sure there should be strikes,or even bans. HOWEVER,it's the same deal. 'See no evil.' It's favoritism,cowardice,or laziness. Either way the fact remains! If mods are not going to hard line police this board and shut down the nonsense that even their friends may be causing,what is the use of having mods? The poster flagged was not the only poster in this thread who was a problem yet that poster was the only one yelled at. If I get sanctioned,so be it. I'm still right. Mod the board properly or just let anarchy reign for EVERY POSTER. Not just the ones you guys like.
