She was I didn't think I'd feel sorry for her, because I hated Cassie for most of the season, but Hannah did amazing and I couldn't help but feel for her.

I think at the end of the day you can't help but care about all of the characters. I mean, it was two seasons with them...liking them or not, it still hurts when they're in pain like that

I agree. And even if people hated Cassie in S2, most of them liked her in S1. I think that was a big part of people feeling for her. If they disliked her through both seasons, it'd still be harder to feel for her.

I think so, too. Cassie was really likeable in season 1, I personally loved her. So even though she was my least favorite character in season 2, I couldn't completely hate her and not care about her storylines...

Cassie wasn't really my favorite either season. And I liked her throughout both of them, so I wasn't really on board with the rest of the fandom who hated/disliked her in S2. But I can definitely see why they would. And I think everyone still felt for her at the end of her episode.

I think I didn't mind her as much in season 1 because everything she did, she did to herself, but in season 2 she started hurting others (like when she made those petty comments to Jal, clearly trying to end the Chris/Jal happiness just because her love life was sucking)...

I do see that being an issue. She really did start to take her pain out on others in S2, and while I didn't like it, at all, and thought it was completely uncalled for. I still think it was rather in character, and Cassie has always been mentally unstable. And she never was my favorite, and she stayed that way. I didn't dislike her, but I didn't love her either.

Exactly. I think her only redeeming plot in season 2 was her relationship with Chris. Even disliking her, I enjoyed watching their scenes together. It was an unexpected friendship but it worked really well.

I actually agree with you both on that. I didn't think of Cassie's evilness as being part of her mental instability! Makes me forgive her for being horrible to Jal a bit more now

Yeah, I mean, we can't really say "Poor Cassie, she's just unstable!" 'cause no matter what I was still really pissed at her But I think if it was someone else doing the exact same things, it would've felt worse...which is a bit of a double standard if you think about it

Yup very true. But i've never particularly liked Cassie which is a shame because Hannah Murray seems lovely in real life!

Yeah, and her acting is great. Too bad her character became so bitchy But I guess everyone was going through hard things during season 2...
