Ahh, you guys are too hard on Rory. I like Rory, I don't like the couple but by himself he's a cute character.

Shame no movie because I think she would have appeared with JT inventing her. __________________

I swear I hate Moffat - he has this agenda where it's only ok for the Dr to have a romance or hinted romance, with someone Moffat chooses, and ONLY WHO MOFFAT CHOOSES. Did you know Moffat hated Rose and hated RTD's Rose/Dr romance? That's why he wrote the fcking girl in the fireplace episode in which had the Dr more interested in that other woman and shat all over Rose. And why he has to constantly push forward his relationships R/A and Dr/River and it's overkill. And they just end up lame and wasting valuble screentime. I hate him. He acts like a Dr Who god, but really he's up his own arse. __________________

It's not even the romance overkill that bothers me about him, but his contradictory lying self. He said he's never use a "reset button" and yet the whole of last series was erased and reset so all was good. I mean if you look at last series you could have episodes 1, 2 and then 3 and then fly home and have Amy married. Everything else that happened between episodes 3 and 13 are meaningless. And that as a writer pisses me off hardcore. You've no idea. __________________

It happens on shows, Lauren. Even the good ones. Skins have even done it. They have rewrote characters (Katie) and ignored things that happened in the last series. It called bad forward thinking and they write themselves into a corner and have to mess about with things to get out of it.

I just get so frustrated. This is why I prefer books. The fckery is rare, the writing is better.

Books have longer to think about the material. Tv shows have quick deadlines so they have less time to think. I find UK tv is less likely to fck up than say US tv. Except soaps where they fck up all the time.
