Okay, I swear almost every song I am now interpreting as reflecting Rich/Grace in S6. How about Seaweed Song by Passion Pit? This is my take on the lyrics: Some day you'll see, surrounded by angels, floating atop of the sea, abandon me. Don't go where they go, don't sing all the songs they sing. Rich not wanting Grace to 'go where the angels go', to die. Nobody knows you the way you know you, but I think I do, but I thought I knew. Yeah, I thought I knew. Grace is a very enigmatic personality and so Rich acknowledges that no one knows here like she does (it also fits in nicely with 'No on ****ing knows me!') But then says that he thought he did - it's especially fitting how it is first said in present tense, then almost corrected to past tense, like Rich could be forgetting it's now past. Between these walls, her back, strange glimpse, casts shadows frighteningly tall. I slow to a crawl, I jump and I yell but she hears nothing at all. The way Grace 'haunts' him, the way Rich pleads for her to come back but can't reach her, she doesn't hear him really. Stay, stay the same, cause everything else will change. He wants the memory of Grace to stay the same, to be true to her and not become distorted - he knows that everything in his life will change from now and he just wants his memory of her to always be with him, as she was. It could also be that he wants his feelings for her and his idea of their relationship to stay the same. He doesn't want any of it to fade. The currents pull me out, the tide has reached my chin, the seaweed ticked skin. Just let the water win. I'm freezing to the bone, you'll never be at home. Just watch, you're running out, just watch your body go. I think the first part could reflect Rich's grief and, with 'just let the water win', an urge to let it take him over - which I'm sure he feels at times. Then at last, the statement that Grace will never be 'home', will never again live in the world, she's 'running out of the world', her body has gone. Analysing lyrics is fun :') __________________

Yeah they should represent their relationship as a whole, but it's just called S6 mix, because we did one after series 5 last year
Great songs guys I've been listening to all the songs and I'm already finding it hard to choose my favorites. When should we stop suggesting songs? |

We can pretend better that season 6 is actually an AU of season 5. __________________

And okay, does this mean we shouldn't choose songs which would only reflect their relationship in S5? (Probably a stupid question, but I just want to check.) __________________

Book Of Love-Peter Gabriel
I'm fine with just a gen3 Hardlet mix, maybe we could just make it side B to the one we already have. S6 doesn't seserve its own Hardlet soundtrack __________________

If you don't understand maybe someone else can explain it better than me Should we stop at 40/45 songs? |

Do you know what hurts most about a broken heart? Not being able to remember how you felt before Hardlet shippers shouldn’t be called shippers anymore. They should be called survivors. |

Oh can I just add a few more:
Transatlanticism - Death Cab For Cutie (If you hear this I don't think it'll need much explanation!) Black Hole - Aqualung Sooner or later this will fall apart It takes more than science to save a failing heart I wanted to keep you and hide you from the sun but no one could reach you Makes me think of Grace dying. You say I'm a black hole Sigularity My own supernova A blazing blind catastrophe And for once I was a star A long time before that Somebody's sun This makes me think of Rich before and after Grace - 'For once I was a star, a long time before that, somebody's sun' But enough of these pointless noises Enough of just counting down This is not a test If hope is not the answer then maybe I misunderstood Oh the question Because there must be someway I want it so so.. There's always someway Well enough of these final nothings There's no time to reconsider So love was not the answer but maybe I misunderstood the question Because it must be somewhere I read it somewhere There's always someway This makes me think of them both as people - 'if love is not the answer, then maybe I misunderstood the question' explains them both well. 'There must be some way, there's always some way' makes me think of Rich initially unable to accept Grace's death, then 'so love was not the answer' him realising that his love for couldn't save her. The end - 'I read it somewhere, there's always some way' makes me think of Grace's fairytales and the way they caused her to believe in happy endings. The First Day Of My Life - Bright Eyes Yours is the first face that I saw I think I was blind before I met you Now I don’t know where I am I don’t know where I’ve been But I know where I want to go - Remember the time you drove all night Just to meet me in the morning And I thought it was strange you said everything changed You felt as if you'd just woke up And you said “this is the first day of my life I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you But now I don’t care I could go anywhere with you And I’d probably be happy” So if you want to be with me With these things there’s no telling We just have to wait and see But I’d rather be working for a paycheck Than waiting to win the lottery Besides maybe this time is different I mean I really think you like me This makes me think of their relationship as a whole. 'I think I was blind before I met you' fits well from Rich's POV, and 'I'm glad I didn't die before I met you' from Grace's. The rest of the song describes their relationship really well, and the sweetness of it ('I mean I really think you like me') is an added bonus as it fits them too. __________________

but I think it's true, it's an hard work to ship a couple that the writers hate and destroy. but someone has to do it, because "you don't choose the ship, is the ship that choose you" Nene __________________
