See I feel like there's a certain amount of laziness you can get away with when it comes to school. Admittedly, I was the textbook overachiever and stressed out about everything. Ultimately though, I feel like once you go beyond a certain level of apathy/procrastination, you're just shooting yourself in the foot every day because you have no idea what's going on and it starts to snowball a lot faster.

That's true, but still those grades don't defy who you'll be after you graduate. You could have amazing grades, yet you finish school and have no idea what to do with your life. Others would miss school on a regular basis and then get a well paid job or even become rich and lead a way better life than A-students. People like Tony would break through without a doubt, people like Sid though would be lost for the most part of their life, even if they were good at school.

Believe me, I know that. I had nearly flawless grades and graduated university a year early, and I still haven't worked a day in my life. although in my case, it's due to several extenuating circumstances.

Yep, it's the sad truth. It's the same with me, however I didn't go to uni.

Honestly that's probably for the best, It's so stressful and expensive.

That's what I think too. And doesn't guarantee you a good job. At least not in Russia

What is the Russian economy like anyway?

Not that I know much about it, because I never had a job, but I hear a lot of stories about people with degrees working in places like McDonald's or Starbucks, or as waiters/sellers instead of working in their major field. Plus a lot of jobs are really low paid, the most embarrassing one is definitely doctors. Their average salary is about 850$. (and it is in only in big cities). This is one of the least paid jobs in Russia.

I'm not in Siberia. It's miles away But some peeps are. Life is pretty tough over there I reckon...
