i'm rewatching gen 1 at the moment and i've remembered how much i love these two together.

ita! it was a spot on moment. it's partly witty little moments that distinguish gen 1 from the later gens. the writing was just always on point. the conflicts would piss you off just the right amount and then they'd come to the most satisfying resolutions.

Sid and Cassie relationship is adorable but also heart-breaking. Cassie will always be my favourite one in Skins. Gosh, the bench scene makes me cry every time I re-watch it.

wow, i just found this show last week and i got easily attached to cassie and sid. I only did finished until series 2. I felt like it would be different without them on series 3 that is why i did not watch the next. I heard some cast in generation 1 will be back for the final season. is it true?

By the way, i got confused about the ending: why did cassie just left without informing her friends especially his boyfriend Sid.

Yeah, some of the previous cast will come back for a final series next year, but we don't know the names yet. Fingers crossed these two will be in it.

my take on the cassie leaving without informing her friends is that she wanted to run away from everything and everyone. cassie is very self-destructive and prefers to run away or ignore her problems. i reckon chris' death proved too much to her and she just had to run away as far from everything and everyone as possible, including sid. if she had sid with her, he'd still remind her of chris. typing all these is making me try to choke back tears again.
