I adored the scened where he opened up to the lawyer and his speech. I'd have loved if Cook's demons/vulnerability were explored more...

Yeah, he really did seem like he had a heart underneath all that bravado, Jack really was a good dramatic actor. That's why I like him with Emma too, because she seemed sensitive and sweet.
