Skins - 4x06 [JJ] Episode Discussion

JJ is in love. Lara Lloyd is sweet perfection and he’s smitten. But JJ thinks she’s way out of his league
and lacks the courage to ask her out.
Thomas tells him he should make a move, and if he doesn’t, he will.
So JJ plucks up the courage…
With the date from hell behind them, JJ’s concerned Lara will run a mile when she learns he’s the way he is.
Plus there’s an ex boyfriend who’s still in love with her who will always be on the scene.
But it’s JJ’s friends and family who are really messing things up.
His confidante is an escaped Cookie, his mum and his psychiatrist Doctor Felly are concerned about his new attitude,
and Emily’s worried that Lara will break his heart, and tells him so.
Everything conspires to mess up JJ’s pursuit of Lara, so JJ realises he’s got to do this all by himself.
And that’s what he does. Almost all by himself anyway

Looks like it's going to be a comical episode this week.

So far:

She's hooooooooooooooot.
JJ's mum has an amazing car
They can't sing
JJ is even more geeky, love it!
Love the Vit C tablets. I have some of those, they make the water taste of orangey crap.
Love the JJ-Tommo friendship, their cinema extra thing was great.

I agree. I'm enjoying this episode so far. I absolutely adore JJ's comment about mucus.

I still disagree with Cook some how escaping, but ah well.

Looks like Emily is having a fling with another bird too, she's not that hot though.

I'm once again loving the music selection. I think that's the best thing about Skins, the music they've chosen in the scenes, spot on each time.

How amazing was that song at the end. "should of done it in b flat"

Loved the episode, can't say 1 bad thing about it. Needed a good comedy episode after last weeks. Loved them going off into the stars too (I can do that on Adobe After Effecs

)

I enjoyed it. Wish this was how the rest of the season was for the most part. Not enjoying Emilys emoness this season over Naomis cheating though. Seeing her happy for half an episode than sad and angry the rest of the episodes just not fun.

I enjoyed the bits of JJ singing in the car with his mom. Overall, it was a cute episode.

I'd be hard pressed to say this wasn't one of the best episodes of the season. Also? Cook living with his lesbros? CANT. WAIT.

It was a very enjoyable episode, and a really nice/needed change of pace. I'd watch it over and over, just because it brought me so many lulz.
