I think Maxxie and Tony have been there for each other more than Tony and Sid. Remember that Tony was trying to get Sid laid.

You know, many people were lashing out on Sid for not being there for Tony, but it was really hard for me to judge him, because let's be real here...how many of us would do differently?
 It was a normal human reaction to that much amount of stress, he'd reached the point where he just couldn't go on anymore, and then he felt bad for giving up on Tony, and couldn't face him and look him in the eye. besides Tony was quite a sad sight when we first saw him after the accident. I think Sid just couldn't take it, couldn't see what had become of his once "almighty" friend, their roles were reversed and I bet it freaked him out a great deal, Sid was never a leader. Plus, if you take into consideration all the crap Tony put Sid through, Sid had every right not to be there at all.I did appreciate Maxxie support and compassion though! He was so great to Tony and I wish they had a goodbye scene in 2x10  __________________
