Did anyone notice when Effy went to the Casino place that the guy who was gambling with Naomi is called Freddie?
Also yeah the Naomi cancer thing seems really random. Totally agree about a free spirited female having to contract something like that because she's not doing anything with her life etc.. also, who the **** makes a joke about wanting to kill themselves to someone who actually tried to kill themselves? Whaaat. Also seriously Effy's boss looks exactly like Freddie I couldn't stop laughing. Nice to see Freddie trending! Mary the episode is on E4's youtube channel? Is your location viable? I have to use Youtube because my location doesn't allow me to watch 4od __________________

 Lmao Skins and misogyny go hand in hand indeed because really, how else can a woman end up rather than either conforming to patriarchal system or being subjected to terminal illness?  And Effy's boss is kind of hot, I have to admit, although the loltastic nature of a Freddie reference is way too obnoxious to even take him seriously I do believe Effy still thinks Freddie left her and the truth was hidden from her due to the unstable nature of her condition and most importantly due to Skins writers' tendency to establish a "perspective" for a female character through making her fall a victim to "gorgeous but inevitably misfortuned in personal life" trope. __________________

Don't talk to me about misogyny
I was at a conference last weekend on the issue of empowering women through secularism in Dublin which ran over two days. Intense, but it was fantastic for the most part, until the end when they asked the floor to give feed back and ****ing funny enough all the MRAs who must have been itchy all weekend decided to be dickheads and be like "Well men have issues too, we need to empower men and women to achieve equality and we should drop the word feminism...blah blah blah" And I'm like, dude, do you have any idea how systematic oppression and patriarchy even works? We haven't achieved any equality to maintain yet And then some other dumb-ass woman was like "I didn't like all the misandrist language I was hearing" and "I was out walking and I caught the end of the Pride parade (it was Pride week here last weekend) and I saw this poster that said trans rights are human rights and maybe we should all just pretend to be trans and just try to achieve human rights" YEAH because trans people are not oppressed at all by social perceptions of GENDER. Since when is it our humanity that oppresses us? JFC. Anyway sorry, that was off topic. Lol.  __________________

  I just watched the episode! I felt like Effy was not happy, like numb, but that not even drugs could make her feel anything anymore.
