Spoilers rules updated for Pictures and Avatars... again. Please read and respond.

The new rules are as follows:

Pictures
• Pictures from promos that have already aired on television, been shown at the movie theatre, or are from general promotional material at official websites or published in magazines are not considered to be spoilers.
• Pictures of clips, episode stills and filming pictures that are available on the Internet and have not been aired on television or have not been shown at the movie theatre before the movie is released are considered to be spoilerish, and they should only be posted in designated threads for the upcoming episode or movie.

Avatars
• Avatars made from promos that have already aired on television, been shown at the movie theatre, or are from general promotional material at official websites or published in magazines are not considered to be spoilers.
• Avatars made from pictures of clips, episode stills and filming pictures should not be used until after the episode airs or until the movie is released, because avatars can be seen all over Fan Forum, and we want to respect the wishes of members that don’t want to see any spoilers for an upcoming episode.

I've changed the OP to reflect the new rules. This means that pictures from magazines and promotional materials from the CW website are allowed to be posted and used as avatars.

i still don't understand the difference from before... like that one pic in that one mag from first look... i thought people were already allowed to make avatars from that... what's the difference?

They weren't but they were doing it anyway.

It's been changed to allow them.

so that's why i keep seeing that particular picture so much lately.

um... so... i don't know if i'm as angry as K b/c i sort of already thought they were allowed... so i guess nothing really changes much... just as long as they don't decide that the things written in those articles (besides the pics) that are spoilery are allowed to be talked about... b/c then i'd probably be running and hiding and not hanging around much any more.

Since we're allowed to like add our own rules to each board without them getting insane, I think it's safe to say Beth and I will make sure any written spoilers and even the pictures from the magazines stay in the S&S thread. We can't stop the avatars but we can make sure it doesn't leak on our board.

The GOOD news is that Filming pictures are still considered spoilers.

amen to that. i was looking for that one. that's when i breathed a sigh of relief.

and thanks gals for keeping a handle on things. i really don't want to go away. i just... i really hate being spoiled.

its so hard being spoiler free.

i think i had a nightmare last night about spoilers. i can't remember it too well, but i think i did...
