It's not that hard to understand; NYC is full of people who can control the four elements (or benders really). Amongst all of them stands Serena who is the Avatar and the only who can control ALL the elements. She is to bring balance to the world. But after the Shepard and supposedly killing someone, she vanishes. A year passes and she returns, looking for an earthbending teacher. The problem is that B is a firebender, N is an airbender like S, and Chuck is a waterbender. So she runs in Gossip Dan who happens to be an earthbender and that's where our story begins
 I put far more thought into this than I should have. __________________
