^ I'm with you. It's like, when I see that, it's people wanting to "create" new characters but keep the characters.

I want the kids to be manipulative and bitchy and sassy and mean. But they're raised in a HEALTHY and LOVING family. Those deep seeded issues aren't there because Blair and Chuck would do every damn thing possible to not be like their parents.

IA. The deep-seeded issues guiding CB's actions aren't going to be there when you have loving, invested parents who are a presence in your life. I'm sure Henry might drabble in some illicit business, but he isn't going to be like his father with the trust and abandonment issues or like his mother with the control issues.

Let's be real. Chuck AND Blair would be not-so-secretly proud parents if Henry did some questionable business. Because he IS his parents' child. He has to live up to that. Scheming and plot and manipulating and doing underhanded things and drinking is kinda a given and CB wouldn't mind.

And I think having a healthy sexual appetite, as well. Nature and nurture on this one. But where sex is healthy and expected from being in love, or at least caring for their partner, and not an unhealthy coping mechanism, as Chuck learned from his father, and uncle. And I do think that while Chuck and Blair's kid(s?) probably grew up in a household that wasn't afraid of sex, it was displayed in a manner with two people who were deeply committed to each other, and each other alone, and oh yeah, were highly sexually attracted to each other and acted on it. And I would think that both Chuck and Blair would give sex talks to their kid(s?) that included being in love with the person they had sex with as being important, and that it was worth it to wait, and that sex without love kind of sucked. Witness Chuck's being less than thrilled to losing his virginity to a psychopath (his later aunt --which I'm sure he won't mention...so it will be in vague terms) in a way he hated, and how much he regretted that. Versus Blair could talk about how much more meaningful sex was given she loved the person it was with...their father, as per her talk to Emma that the she had sex for the first time with someone she loved.

Which now that I think about it, kind of creepy to care. On the other hand, the show was a lot about sex, so maybe it's a valid fanfic desire to see Chuck and Blair be good parents about this, as well.
