Ahhh, Gossip Girl and the games they play. First, let us remind you that we should all be rejoicing! Chuck Bass is alive and well after that near-fatal finale. He is seriously rockin' that cane too, might we add. Now here's what we can tell you: The bulk of what's getting out on the interwebs from Gossip Girl's shoot in Paris is mainly Chuck and her new galpal, and Blair and Serena pushing each other into fountains. But we have it on good authority that B & C will in fact reunite in the city of love, there are some discussions to be had. Don't expect the two to head back to NYC all lovey-dovey, but maybe, just maybe Blair will begin to forgive Chuck for his Jenny-wandering ways

Like I said and you showed the Jack/Elizabeth vs. Chuck/Blair parallels were obvious. We've seen Chuck mimicking the very worst of Jack by his choice to pick the Empire over the love of his life. But I thought it was interesting that the writers gave Elizabeth lines to explain why she still loved Jack. We've heard NOTHING like that about Jack before. I was like "WTF?" when Elizabeth was explaining to Chuck how Jack, someone so apparently monstrous, could also be lovable. But I think those lines were put in there for a very specific reason: To signal what makes CHUCK redeemable in Blair's eyes - despite the horrible thing he did. As I said the things that make him redeemable for her are: 1) He understands her better than anyone 2) He accepts all of her and would never judge her. I just think that the best way to show that Chuck has those traits is in the context of a Blair spiralling storyline. She has to be a point where she's NOT understood, people are JUDGING her and/or NOT ACCEPTING all of her. So that's where this idea came from. ITA with you about the potential timeline of the Prince. They did something similar for Chuck and Eva: Had them meet and their relationship develop OFF-SCREEN so it's established before the audience even sees the person.
