SPOILERS from E!Online's Kristin
(Non-Chuck details removed)

Lori in Fitchburg, Wis.: I just heard that there's a new episode of Gossip Girl called "You've Got Yale"—does this mean that all of the kids are going to, uh, Yale?
Actually, I'm told that our fave Upper East Siders will go to three different colleges next year. Any guesses about who goes where? They'd better not separate Bluck! (Or Chair for that matter.)

Gossip Girl: OMG, Nate and Blair!
It's true. As we teased in last week's Spoiler Chat, a core couple is reuniting on Gossip Girl. The just-released location photo above means that hot little kitty is debagged, and my sources confirm what your eyes are seeing: Gossip Girl's newest (old) hookup is Blair (Leighton Meester) and Nate (Chace Crawford). Gasp!

What does this mean for the epic romance that is Blair and Chuck (Ed Westwick)? And why the frak are Nate and Blair back to nooky anyway? I've got the exclusive scoop...

Sources tell me that unlike Blair and Chuck's deep adversarial passion, the renewed Blair and Nate coupling is about familiarity and comfort.

According to one insider, "Blair and Nate are both at a crossroads. Blair has to accept she isn't going to Yale. Nate is being sucked into his family's expectations, and they are both there for each other and enjoy the familiarity. At first it's platonic, but, of course, that doesn't last long."

Blate. Blah.

Still, don't worry, Bluck fans. Even though Nate and Blair are playing tonsil hockey for the time being, I have it on good authority that Blair and Chuck have not been forgotten. For that matter, Gossip Girl boss Josh Schwartz just told the Chicago Tribune's wonderful Mo Ryan, "We get that that [relationship] works for people."

So in the grand tradition of the Derena merry-go-round ("Dan Serena Dan Serena whoo!"), Chuck and Blair's time will come around again. But can you stand the wait? Will you watch between now and then? Post in the comments!

From Ask Ausiello:

Question: I recently saw a photo of Nate and Blair kissing in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl. What the hell?! We waited all season for Blair to get together with Chuck! Please say it won't last. -- Clare
Ausiello: Let's ask exec producer Stephanie Savage about that incriminating photo: "I think they look really cute together kissing in the snow." Um, let me take a different approach. What does the rekindled N and B romance mean for C and B? "Tell those Chuck and Blair fans to hang in there." That's better.

From Spoiler TV:

Please tell me this Blair and Nate thing won't last. -Karolina
Take comfort, it'll be but a blip in the Gossip Girl timeline.

This is exactly the way I feel. I want them to end up together at the end of this season. But I want to feel about them what I feel now, not after they have become tainted. I don't want Nate or Vanessa or anyone else thrown at them that are regular characters. Guests I can deal with. I can deal with Chuck having sex with half of Manhattan as long as it's not someone Blair knows. Same with Blair.

I definitely think they are endgame but it's the fact of what will be left to be endgame. Ever since Bart's death the show has entered the twilight zone. Nothing adds up and there is no story development. It's just like they make crap up as they go along. It seems as if Josh has no clue what to write for anyone. I don't want CB to be just another DS. They are the IT couple and they are special. They have created so much buzz for this show. I just don't want Josh ruining it with his crazy twilight zone writing.

I disagree about the show necessarily doing downhill since Bart's death. I thought 2.13 and 2.14 were two of the best episodes so far. And I thought 2.15 was solid, even if we didn't like how CB ended - I still felt it was in character.

Then I loved 2.16, but that is the episode were a lot of inconsistencies popped up - Jack gone with no revelation of the secret, the teacher story line being plain stupid, etc.

Thanks for the new thread.

And I agree. I need to stop obsessing... but I feel like I can't trust the writers with my favorite couple. I want something positive. Throw me a bone!

I agree with this to an extent.

The end of 2x14 was a marker of weakness for me. Then from there it just got worse. Not to say that 2x14-2x16 were BAD episodes. But, the contrivances just kept building and building.

Yeah, I didn't hate 2.13 or 2.14...and I liked the first half of 2.15 (I felt kinda drained by the end of it). 2.16 wasn't that bad but the Blair storyline just bored me. It's 2.17 that I was really disappointed in. Neither Chuck's nor Blair's storylines held my interest that long.

I loved 2.13 and 2.14. I teared up at the end of 2.13, and it is so hard to get me to cry. 2.15 was painful. 2.16 gave me hope even though it was still kind of off. 2.17 ripped that hope away, and then I got on the internet the next day and saw THE PICTURES, it was just wonderful.

I loved 2x14 up until "New Years... dun, dun, dun."

2x15 was painful, irksome, but still entertaining.

2x16 was all CL for me. I adore them.

2x17... eh. I say 2x10 was worse.

I was just using Bart's death as the time line. Not everything since then has been bad, but most of it has seemed off with the over all show. I really thought Bart's death would help push CB into a very emotional, and climatic story. It hasn't! It's been total crap and doesn't seem to be improving anytime soon. I wanted it to be a story with lots of CB angst. So far we haven't even gotten CB anything.

Thanks for the new thread Mia!!

I loved 2.13 through 2.16. The only thing I didn't like was the way Jack was shipped off and the lack of CB, 2.17 was nothing but a filler.
