Chuck Bass S&S #461: Oh Blair, don't you know God ships Chair?

...

Season 5

- Episodes -

:: SPOILER SOURCES ::

Blair Waldorf needs a devil redeemed, not a donut. Is there any good Chuck/Blair stuff coming up on Gossip Girl? — Janey
And your reward is such: Of course there are great Chair moments coming up! Producers have certainly heard your cries, and all I’ll say is that you should not count anyone out of the running for Blair’s heart. On that note, can everyone please give Josh Schwartz his Twitter back? Also, CONGRATULATIONS. You are the winner of this week's Best Question award for one of the best characterizations of Dan Humphrey I've ever read.

Can you tell us anything about Blair on Gossip Girl and the many men in her life? She’s got her pauper, her prince and her king — how will she ever choose?! I’m really rooting for Chuck and Blair to get back together eventually. Can you tell us if the last five episodes have some drama for them? — Leslie
I don’t know how she’ll choose, but I do know that easier choices have been made by entire branches of the U.S. government. Kidding. But in all seriousness, there is definitely drama to be had, and I hear there’s more than you can handle in the two-part finale, which takes place over one event-filled night in the Gossip-verse (but airs over two weeks for us).

And what about Chuck? Josh [Safran] explains that the theme of this season, for everyone, is “growing up”. “They are all actually taking the first steps to who they are going to be,” says Josh. “Chuck’s journey, even though it looks like he’s a thrill-seeker [in the premiere], that opens the door to a new avenue for him, a new way of life, which isn’t what you’ve seen yet. But I think people will really like it. I think it’s the only actual step in the evolution of Chuck.

Brendahere: Gossip Girl please! Louis is the worst. Please tell me there is hope that she’ll ditch him for Dan? Or Chuck? I don’t even care which one!
There is more than hope, my friend! I can tell you there will be a pretty epic scene involving Dan and Blair in one of the upcoming episodes that shows he’s still very much an important part of her life. And there will be a Blair and Louis scene that shows
Chuck may be even more important to Blair than anyone.

:: SET PICTURES ::

It is a gross misconception that CBers ship
the couple in their current state- they don’t.
They ship them for the potential they have
to be great once they find their way
back from the dark
place they fell into.
As Safran said….
”its always dark before the dawn”.
They want to see CB rise from the ashes and grow from the dark place.

That's why I always say the show deserves the horrible ratings it gets. The efact they even need to have heated moments about the story the show has been telling since early season 1(both DS and CB) because of like you said,a one sided ''relationship'' where the other person clearly loves someone else more than anything...just shows they couldn't care less about the stories they've been telling for 5 years.
I jusy feel sorry for the cast...but hey,as long as they have fun doing it...more power to them.

TFTNT Chris The title is so much win

Or Safran is just saying that to please that small group IDK and honestly I don't even care anymore because nothing these writers do is going to surprise me at this point

That last scene just shows how talented EL are, taking that crap and turning it into a great scene. I think one of the reviews said "Z grade writing to A grade acting"

see, I found the stupidest part is that apparently Blair is visiting the priest on a regular basis to reinforce her 'pact' and yet the priest is apparently reinforcing it too. I don't know of a single priest that would do that.
I agree, and I see what Amanda is saying. He wasn't telling her what to do but he wasn't giving her sound advice either. I am Catholic and in this religion we believe marriage is a sacrament, and usually about 6 months of various preparation is done before a couple is married. No priest worth their salt (I realize there are some but this guy was supposed to be a decent one looks like) would advise Blair to get married or even let her entertain the idea knowing that she loves another man. He would be telling her what Serena was telling her and tell her he wouldnt marry her. He'd be witness to her lie.

This bugs me so much, but whatever, I could get over it. They are clearly stupid. I just wish that this delay wouldnt segue-way into other crap we didnt care about. Basically at this point I just want to hurry this along. But I do love Leighton and Ed for giving it their all last night.

I still say CB has the bigger fanbase even though a certain one TT last night
I can't wait for the ratings to go down even more and then they get cancelled. I really want a CB endgame but I'd take a sudden cancellation over that. The writers seem to think the show is invincible and I would love to see the looks on their faces. #BITTER

TFTNT Chris!

GOD DOES NOT PUNISH!!

Like I said, I said I'd give up chocolate if he cured my aunt's cancer. I didn't last a week. And my aunt is as healthy as ever. Did I feel guilty? Of course I did. One should be able to keep promises. But this is stupid. The priest shoulda'be adviced her that. He knew she was a mess so she wasn't going to be thinking clearly.

Now I wonder why Blair shows up at the Empire on V-Day.

I ain't even mad because CB trended WW

I forgot about that Isa Was that the pic of Michelle and Leighton?

Not to be optimistic because I'm not really but I think we do have to consider DS in this too and Serena's feelings obviously emerging after last night. I'd like to think the writers are at least acknowledging that.

I think she's gonna want to hold on to this pact but it will be increasingly more difficult. You cant command your heart, and she could barely look at him now, clearly the wedding is going to be hard too. She is set on believing that she could be responsible for his death. I feel for her, I do. And now she's hiding behind religion in this irrational fear. I just wish that they'd have the priest tell her she's being irrational. I think that small detail would help me in this If you're gonna make it like she's crazy, commit. At least Serena told her she was wrong.

I think its down just a smidge, but still not good. The demo is a series low though. They are in crap ratings right now and with the competition, its not gonna change no matter the story. Especially when the story is as ridiculous as this, completely ships aside.

Cannot wait for this effin' story to wrap up.
