Frederick: Gossip Girl. Give it up! Is there any hope for Chuck and Blair? I'm getting really depressed with what I've seen for the new season.

I know you Chair fans have been in a funk since May, when Chuck the B******* did you know what with you know who (for shame!), but I finally have a ray of hope to offer...I can tell you exclusively that Chuck and Blair will have, um, relations, of the bom-chicka-bow-wow kind during the upcoming season. At least, that's what my sources are saying. Whether they will actually get back together, well…that I cannot say, sorry. But still, that's a pretty major reason to keep tuning in, right?

Ryan in New York: Gossip Girl, please! What is up with Chuck and Blair? And when will we know why Juliet is tormenting Serena?

So much hate to spew, so little time...Chuck and Blair are all about hate sex for the next little while. Lots of hate sex, so put the kiddies to bed, y'all! As for Juliet, we'll learn that her brother is connected to Serena's past (like, past, as in before we even met her on the show). He got thoroughly screwed over by Team Van Der Woodsen (that's my understanding anyway), and Juliet is helping her brother seek revenge.

Tammy: Please give us some Chair spoilers for the second half of the season!
Well, file this under bad news. Jessica Szohr tells us someone new is coming to Gossip Girl…again. "We have another guest star coming on, which is amazing," she says. "She starts to date Chuck Bass, which is exciting because everyone always wants Chuck and Blair together. This someone throws a little loop in their relationship—or throws everyone, actually." I am totally totally with you on this. Serena better feel like she has all the rights in the world to be upset. I hate it when they let Dan get away with being a prick by having the other person do something 'bad' that cancels it out. Especially when it comes to Serena, because that's precisely what made me stop rooting for them after season 1.

And they've already done it recently. Nate can't get mad at Dan for DS because he sent the photo to Vanessa. Vanessa doesn't get mad first because she's a doormat, and then because she has to randomly turn pyscho and try to ruin Serena. So now Dan gets a basically free pass in both instances.

If they do the same thing with DB, I will be so angryyyyyy. The fact that it feels like they are throwing CS under the bus to make DB work just makes me root for CS even more.

Well, if they leave things off the way they did in 4x11, Dan was really the one who turned her down. So unless that changes in some way, I fully expect Serena to be pissed as hell when this all happens.

Hmm... That's actually an interesting thought.

Blair turns Chuck down in 4.09. Serena turns Dan down in 4.11. Chuck and Serena appear to meet new people. Perhaps DB regret letting them go, but they were the ones who said no in the first place, so ... They get closer to each other.

But, they've made Serena really flaky this season to minimize a bit DB's betrayal I guess

But it seems to me that DB is to play out as some sort of karma for CS, so I guess that means that CS has to do or already did something wrong in order to deserve that karma.

Yeah, it's an interesting dynamic, because Dan and Blair are both the "wronged" parties in their relationships- but they're also the ones who chose to not be in them right now. And they're both making the right decision, IMO, but I don't think they can reasonably expect Serena and Chuck to sit around with their thumbs up their butts in the meantime. So it's sort of an "I don't really have a right to be upset, but I am anyway" feeling they'll share, I suspect.

Which is apparently a potent aphrodisiac.

That just makes me sad, lol. They didn't really do anything to minimize Chuck's betrayals in 3.17 or 3.22. And they haven't done anything to minimize Serena's near insanity in jumping from man to man for the last season and a half.

Ugh, but oh well. Hopefully Serena will be rightfully angry because otherwise there really is no point. And hopefully Chuck will be... rightfully... able to recognize he wants Blair back?

answering on the comment about Blair's misery being of her own making. I agree I like that better. I hope this is the case this time too. Her ambition is getting the best of her and even though she has reason to want to be her own person first after last season but still her stubborness might lead to heartache. I hope so.

Serena has every right to be angry. Blair and Dan should know better than to sleep together when there are unresolved feelings between DS. I really don't think that people will think that it's ok for them to hook-up, but I do think they'll be given a POV. Do I make sense?
