When skeletal remains are found in the Chesapeake Bay, Brennan and Booth are on the case to investigate. With only the upper torso of the victim intact, the team has little to work from besides the remnants of the victim's breast implants. Brennan and Booth are led to a small church community in Maryland where the victim was a pastor, but they have no record of her existence prior to moving to the small town five years prior. When the victim's lower half is discovered, the team realizes their initial assumptions about the victim may not be correct. As Sweets lends insight to the victim's psychological state and Brennan's latest grad student adds his own offbeat observations, the team must decipher who would have wanted her dead. From possible love interests to her family to the parishioners at the church where she was a pastor, the anatomy of the case is very misleading in "The He in the She" episode of BONES airing Wednesday, Oct. 8 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Booth and Brennan in therapy. Booth plays with the slinky. Everyone stares are everyone else uncomfortably.
Booth’s cell phone buzzes.
Booth: Woah! Oh thank God. Someone got murdered.
Booth and Brennan hurry to leave.
Sweets: You are supposed to turn your phones completely off during these sessions you know! No just vibrate. Out of respect.

Brennan said something like needing Vincent Nigel-Murray in the lab so she could “aim Agent Booth in the right direction” in the field.
Booth: Aiming Agent Booth? Like a hose?
Cam talks about breasts looking like implants.
Booth: Breasts! That’s my department. Give me a serial number and my guys can track it down.

Brennan was very excited about the “seething underbelly” of the community on the walk to Patrica’s house.

Brennan describes the process of transgender surgery. Splitting the penis, maintaining enough nerves to achieve orgasm, etc.
Booth: Okay, new rule! No surgery details okay?

Booth makes a comment about the phone call on Patricia’s phone being a “ain’t too proud to beg” call.
Sweets: That’s very insightful.
Booth: Insightful, see.
Sweets: Except for the ‘real woman’ slip.
Brennan: Have you made many of these “ain’t too proud to beg” calls in the past?
Booth: What do you say we just stay focused here?

When Booth defends the he/she and demands respect for the body.
Brennan: I’m a genius and I’m confused.

Booth drops his head to pray.
Brennan: What are you doing?
Booth: Shh, I’m praying.
Brennan: You’re not a member.
Booth: It’s not a gym, Bones.

Booth, about Brennan: She keeps everyone honest, this one.
Awwwwwww

LMAO at Mr Nigel-Murray’s question to Jack about what happened to whoever worked here before him, and Jack’s explanation.

Jack to Mr. Nigel-Murray about Angela: That’s way to much car for you.
Mr. Nigel-Murray: I want to show you something.
Angela: Vroom vroom kid. You’re already in my rearview mirror.

Brennan points out to the wife (who thought sex change was a sin) that she dyed her hair and had plastic surgery!
And the wife gets huffy.
Booth: It’s different.
Brennan: How?
Booth: It’s augmenting God’s work, not undoing it completely. <pause> How about that Bones?

Responding to Booth believing the wife wasn’t happy with her husband before his sex change, because she never called him by his name or as her husband.
Brennan: I call you Booth and I like you just fine
Booth: Thank you but we’re not married.

Booth, to Brennan: What are you, like some sort of kung fu master?

Brennan: Would you like me just as much if I were a man?
Booth: Oh yeah, much better. I wouldn’t have to be so polite and accommodating.
Booth: Would you like me better if I was a woman?
Brennan: No. I would not.
Booth: Why?
Brennan: I’d be jealous that you might be prettier than I am.
Booth: I would be, too. I’d be hot. Smokin’ hot!

LMAO at Sweets and Booth betting on where the kid was – within 20 miles of the church.
Brennan, after they each give her the twenties: If you’re betting, how come I get the money?
Sweets: You’re the bank.
Booth: You’re the bank lady.

When Sweets found out he was correct on the bet of where the son was.
Sweets: You owe me twenty bucks.
Booth: Get it from Bones!

I LOVED the discussion between Booth and the son. Booth was very proud of him, I do believe. He was going to make sure the son would get his father’s bible. And wanted to know if the son Ryan ever considered returning to the ministry. Very great scene.

Booth asks Brennan if she thinks that it means anything that Pat lived her life as two and in death was in two.
Brennan: No I don’t think it means anything,
Booth: I didn’t think you would.

Booth in the boat and asking how tall JP was how tall his wife was, and she’s all giving estimated metric heights instead of inches!

And awww Ryan, the son, took over the Inclusion Church. And Booth and Brennan were in the congregation, and the LOOK Booth gave Brennan!

Brennan said something like that’s not true.
Booth: Not now Bones
Brennan: Our skeletons are wildly different, or I wouldn’t have a job

Booth: Redemption through transform. What do you believe in Bones?
Brennan: I believe in always swimming with a buddy

It was a good episode, Booth really cracks me up. One minute he's cracking jokes and being his usual self and then the next minute he's praying. LOL he's just so great love this show.

I agree

he was quite funny during last epi. I have to admit I was more excited when watching the first episodes of season 3. Last night epi was rather exciting but there was some good moments.

I love the last bit of the episode. Pretty heartwarming. I think we're gonna get heavier stuff on the Nov Sweeps.
