in the books it gets way clearer, I think. as far as I remember, her Dad just never talked with her about her mother's death and generally didnt/doesnt talk about personal stuff with her/anyone. he just ignores..and is being stupid. ^^

yeah, me too. I wanted to hug her all the time. she was trying so hard to be so strong and just be happy, but in the end, it got her.
