I hope they aren’t thinking another three episodes arc for Mr. vdW. Don’t even bother to begin if that’s the plan. Although I can’t imagine what prevents a father from at least trying to contact his children, I hope there’s some redemption for him. That we won’t come back only to cause turmoil, but that he actually tries to develop a relationship with Eric and Serena and they somehow can benefit from some sort of father figure.

This is the SL I want to see developed for Serena "figuring out who she is". That this season, that I believe will be the last, revolves around her as a single character and not attached to a guy that will be her sole purpose. That’s why I think Carter would be the perfect guy for her. He wouldn’t have to be in every episode, he would be doing what he does around the world, but he would come back from time to time and we would know there’s a thing between them. This would be my dream scenario.

Also if Serena ends up not going to college at all for a year, I hope we'll have more CS scenes, since it looks like he won't be going to college either, which is a shame, and we can finally see them braiding each other's hair

And to see Chuck not amused if Serena and Carter have a thing. CS are too awesome to be wasted.

Serena to show more of her frivilously funny side, ala flashbacks from the thanksgiving episode.
To show her bitch side more, we know she's got one, I don't understand why the producers refuse to utlise it. Queen S didn't get to the top before boarding school by giving away puppys and kisses, I'd imagine.
More Nate/Serena, Serena/Chuck. A friendship with one of the boy UES would be lovely.
Nate/Serena relationship.
Serena and Dan being only friends. It ruins S when her only storyline always relates to the one boy on the show I can't stand with her.
Maybe S/Ca. Interesting!
Daddy VdW coming back - and for it to actually impact on the family unit.
More Van der Bass time!

I want Chuck to actually be included in Serena's family time.
For them to cement her relationship with Chuck as a close friend, rather than them pulling the 'help me chuck/chuck you suck' type situations again and again.

LOL, I guess not, but all we know about Serena's past is what we hear, because this new one is some sort of a saint sister, with the exception of a very few episodes where she showed how awesome her character could be.

Agree. Chuck has been a great friend; she still owes him an apology for her behavior at Bart's funeral. Of course we'll never see it. And when she showed concern for Chuck and went to Vitrola to look after him, miraculously she got distracted with other things and we saw nothing.

But then we would have two separate shows. They should all interact but not in a contrived way because they have so SL for some characters like it happened in the last episodes of S2.

I want more layers - I love sweet S but so far she's either been the damsel in distress, the saint (

) or the girlfriend/wants to be their girlfriend. I loved it when she went all out bitch, and they should definitely use that more. I'm not asking for Blair 2.0 - but something other than sunshine or angst would be nice

I hated that. But at least she went, even though I sat there hoping they'd actually have them interact. So that's a good thing to put down for S3

Blair is the way she is and I would hate Serena to be like her, they are different characters. But that Serena we saw at the end of The Ex Files or in Chuck in Real Life was the best Serena of this season and it's the Serena I want to see more. She has that sweet, caring side that I don't want to see lost but she has to let her inner bitch out more often. She's awesome.

And I think S3 she should be more sure of herself - I've just rewatched the episode where Dan sleeps with the teacher, and while he was innocent in the coffee shop, I didn't really like the fact that S was so apologetic about it all. She's too nice, sometimes. She needs to be more assertive. I think that's what was so good about her when she gets her bitch on

I know this is a wish list but all I wish for next season is Dan&Serena don't get together. I liked them in S1 but their back and forth in S2 destroyed them for me.

13. Have Dan and Serena remain only friends for season three and have Serena be fine with Dan dating/falling in love with another girl. No jealousy needed.
14. Let Serena start to grow and be able to express negative emotions to her loved ones.
15. Let Serena grow out of the need to tie herself into a knot for other peoples approval and affection.

I agree with almost everything except #6,7,8,9 and 13.

My personal wishlist.

Drop this fake badgirl act with Serena. She never was a real badgirl.........she was a trouble young girl. Big difference. Blair is the bad girl on this show not Serena.
Have Serena tell Lily off and mean it
Have Serena consistantly stand up for herself and that includes telling Blair to stop calling her stupid and degrading her.
Properly develop the Daddy storyline.
Either do a proper NS friendship or stop putting them in scenes together where all they do is stand there and look pretty.
Delve into the eric/serena relationship more.
More grandma and serena scenes please
Tell us what happened in Santorini, I'm dying here.
Maintain the DS friendship and advance it to a proper relationship and for godsakes keep them together no more off/on. I do think they work the best together and their friendship proves that..........please don't shoot me for my opinion peeps.
For Godsakes no NS. It would just be so random and out of the blue. If there going to do a proper S relationship please let it be carter or someone that is properly fleshed out and not some richie loser guy.
Make Serena and Jenny friends.
Get Serena some nonbitchy friends at college and keep her away from modeling/acting.
Have Serena develop a personal passion for something other than boys and fashion.

I can't deal with them any more, it's ruining GG for me. Plus, now they've got a relation in common, dating would just be too weird.

I want a change in Serena's wardrobe. This season's was pretty dull compared to the first one. Yes, there were very nice pieces but all in all it looked like she was always wearing the same style. Be a little more creative.

I will miss the uniform though. If we can call it a uniform

that's true. but I still want to see more of fun, free and WILD Serena. I'm tired of always hearing about her wild life and stuff..but on the show she's like a nun.

well, it cant ever be random because they have history, just like NB. and if they get proper build up in season 3, it wont be out of the blue at all. plus, nothing can be as random as NV.

(and I also think no character on this show is properly fleshed out..the writing is too poor for that.)

no offense but I don't see this supposed history? To each their own. NB was pretty random too. LOL but atleast they had a history onscreen on like ns which was just shown to be a random mistake (so far).

Lisa, you already know I agree with you. Even when I shipped DS I remember telling some people that NS was inevitable because they couldn’t just drop them like that. There was too much there to be ignored, it won’t be out of the blue at all. Now after the horror show that has been DS's 97593002 reunions it’s even more inevitable, and I do hope they happen. I’m actually glad that after they hooked up Nate with every possible female, lucky Dorota and Lily, they escaped; Serena was not one of them, which will give them an even better foundation for a careful hookup. I do hope Serena ends up in Columbia with Nate. Serena alone in Brown and Nate alone in Columbia? I don't think so.

Yes, it's like we're expecting some big things from the writers but they just can't deliver, because in their minds we love those OMG moments and those contrived SLs more than everything. More than giving some growth and development to the characters.

I've always seen it as a drunken mistake on Serena's part. Nate's feelings were always pretty obvious but the finale seemed to indicate pretty clearly that he was over her. But, you never know with this show. They'd prob go from them not talking to omg they're having sex.

If it does happen I just hope its done in a way that makes sense.

Can I ask (since I'm not calling ns a horror show) that people not call DS a horror show. There are people on this board who actually ship them you know

Its just an issue of respect.
