what were you worried about? that they were having an NS kiss to get it out of the way with nothing to follow? or that it was just some drunken thing? I think it's not at all like that.

I think it's just setting them up...they're kissing to make D and MILF jealous but we know both S and N will ultimately be hurt both those two respectively. IN the meantime, they'll continue to have and build their friendship and COMFORT each other over D and MILF.

another way of looking at it is, though I always love to see kisses, kissing/sex is not what we need a big build-up of with NS, what we need and will see is the big re-building of their friendship and emotional intimacy...the kiss is foreshadowing what will come after the build up of the relationship. but kisses for NS are easy coz they can't help it, it's the emotional barrier of their "forbidden love" that we need to see torn down

and RL are such a great comparison, because i think there are many other ways NS' (not DS actually) story run parallel to theirs

she's not making anything up, besides it all fits in perfectly with the sides we've gotten, Kristin's spoilers and everything else. i can't wait to see DS and NS and DSN now

there are several ways of looking at the Nate being "defeated"--1) he could be upset with himself for helping to get D mad/jealous at S after "trying" to help her get him back; i.e. that NS plan backfired coz it just made Dan angrier; 2) he could be defeated coz MILF didn't get jealous at all; 3) he could just be defeated coz, well, he's emo-Nate

Definitely because he is emo Nate.

But I'd love to imagine it's because he knows he's still in love with S but also knows that he can't make any moves yet because S still going after D and so to occupy himself, he had to go after an older-looking S look-a-like.

she's nothing compared to S, or B for that matter.
but I even am excited for them..how weird is that? I want to know how they got together, and I want to know why he chose a MILF. but I better stop, since this is the S thread. ^^

It'll be fun to see both Nate/Milf and Dan & Serena "reconsidering" and facing their problems for a little while. But I truly hope Serena realizes that she's not the terrible person she thinks she is...takes two.
